Oh, bad guys behind bad guys! Tsubasa unmasked! And what's going on with Arisa at the hospital in the meantime? The plot of this series seems to be getting more and more muddled, and...well, silly. But it's still a lot of fun, so I'm just going to keep on reading it!

Kudo?! He was the one that set the fire and killed the man?! I can't believe it because he seemed sketchy, but I didn't think that he would do something like that. The class is panicking and no one is sure what to do. They all agree to hide the body and to keep this whole incident as a big secret because they would be in big trouble if they told others. They were all concerned about not getting to school, how their parents would kill them for being involved, etc. After agreeing that they would ...more

Arisa is a multiple layered story with mystery elements. I highly recommend starting at the beginning and reading in order.

** This review contains no spoilers for Arisa 8 but will of course have them for previous volumes. **

Tsubasa followed her one solid lead on the King, Arisa's mysterious chat partner K, only to lose all of the chosen phones she'd acquired. With four phones Kudo has declared himself the King's representative and is forcing Class 2-B to "become the best class in the world" if t

3.5 stars for Arisa volume 8

Thoughts and Plot

Well....I saw all that coming from a mile away. How are people surprised??? Kudo turns out to be as nuts as I thought. (view spoiler) In a panic, the class asks the King to help them clean up the crime as Tsubasa calls for help. He, of course, obliges and tells them exactly what to do!
Things continue to muddle th

Series Rating: 3.5Stars (first few volumes are 4 Stars)

I read this series in one sitting, which is quite telling in itself. However I will say now that the story does lag a bit after a few volumes and loses something of the great set up it had at the beginning. That said, the author Natsumi Ando is good at ending chapters/volumes with cliff-hangers. So you get to the end of one book and immediately want to pick up the next one. (Case in point – me.)

The art is excellent and was part of the reason

Honestly, this story is getting a little crazy. I'm all for manga taking some things to the extreme - as in, "Come on! This would never go down." But, this one.. Wow. Only in Japanese drama will a bunch of high school kids act this way. And I will also end up reading the next volume of this series, just to see if the author decides to fix the newest problem with a reasonable approach, or goes all-out again. *(Spoiler Alert)* Now that Tsubasa's identity is out, and Arisa comes out of the coma on ...more

Hello there! I welcome this volume's return to the properly melodramatic, I was really disappointed when it looked like the last volume was solving the King mystery in the most predictable boring fashion possible. Bring on the amnesia plot, I'm ready. 3.5 stars

A bit different from your average shojo with elements of mystery, suspense and LOTS of twists. Good fun.

4.5 - Ohhh that twist! I was kidding when I said the king was revealed several volumes back but evidently still, this is one fucked up shoujo manga.
