Love, hate, suspense, tension, thrill, yearning, sorrow, happiness... They all exist in this book. We see how the separate lives are actually one life linked together by one missing child. We see how love is fired again. We see how joy arises after misery, and how the sun rises following a thick mist of darkness.

I have read many novels by Colleen Coble and loved every one of them. This one is no different. The main characters are Eden and Clay. Lonestar Angel

The book I chose to read is Lonestar Angel by Colleen Coble. This is one unbelievable, heart racking, heartwarming, down to the bone, outstanding novel. I’ve never read anything like this before. If every book I were to read would be like this, I would be reading all the time. A few things that I love about her writing are her style, how she made each character have a different effect, and the plot. I personally have no negative feedback on this book.

The book I chose to read is Lonestar Angel by Colleen Coble. This is one unbelievable, heart racking, heartwarming, down to the bone, outstanding novel. I’ve never read anything like this before. If every book I were to read would be like this, I would be reading all the time. A few things that I love about her writing are her style, how she made each character have a different effect, and the plot. I personally have no negative feedback on this book.
Coble’s writing style is outstanding! She has her own type of writing compared to all the books I have read. She writes in a way so you, the reader, can picture everything that is going on from person to person plus their thoughts they have running though their head at the very moment. To me, that was my main like about this book, it let me in on everything, made me feel like I was actually involved in what was happening.
Coble had a way of letting the reading get close to each main character. She never made the reader hate a certain character for their thoughts or opinions. Each character was well put together, even though each one had a different view on things or different from the way they dressed they all got along. (At least the main characters did, not the kidnapper.) I would say that each character was believable because it was a real life situation. Each person had their part and pulled though till the end. I think that not one character should have been taken out, nor added in. To me it would have ruined the whole story.
The plot of this story was to show that even someone close to you or family could kidnap your child. Coble did a great job at keeping the reader on their feet and wanting to read more. She put major twists in that get you going, makes you wish there was more to read. The pace of this book was just right, not too fast or too slow, just right, and that’s what I love. Most books are very slow when coming down to all the details but not her, she did a great job.
Overall, this book was outstanding, I couldn’t put it down. I had no clue what I was about to read, all I knew was the review on the back cover got me hooked from the first sentence; next thing I know is three days later and I’m finished. I would recommend this book to everyone! Mostly girls probably would love it, but I’ll tell you now you will have no regrets in picking this book up.

Their daughter is one of five small girls staying on the Bluebird Ranch, which caters for children in the foster-care system, and which is looking for a married couple to take over as counsellors for the group of five-year-old girls. A friend of Clay’s puts in a good word for them with the ranch owners, enabling them to get close to the girls to discover which is their daughter. When a rattlesnake appears in their bedroom on their first night at the ranch, they begin to suspect that someone does not want them there. Working so closely together gives them the opportunity to get to know each other in ways that they never did when they were married, as well as the chance to talk through why their marriage failed – and what they will do if and when they identify Brianna.

This was an excellent romantic suspense novel. The previous Colleen Coble novels I have read have either been more thriller than romantic suspense, or have been part of a series that has been difficult to pick up. This was a welcome change, with two flawed characters with a difficult shared history, united in their desire to find and care for their daughter. Lonestar Angel is well-written with strong characters, a fast-moving plot, plenty of suspense with a number of twists and an unexpected yet satisfying conclusion. Although clearly a Christian novel, it was not preachy, with subtle lessons on trust woven throughout.

I really enjoyed Lonestar Angel. What I liked best was how an extremely difficult event (the kidnapping and loss of a child, followed by their separation) led both Clay and Eden to become Christians and to grow as people without becoming bitter, despite their great loss. This meant that when they met up again, they were both able to put aside their differences to work together. I liked the romance, the faithful way Clay was still hooked on Eden. I also liked the twists in the story, the unexpected links between Clay, Eden and the kidnappers that really filled the story out.

This is the fourth book in Colleen Coble’s Lonestar series (following Lonestar Sanctuary, Lonestar Secrets and Lonestar Homecoming), but it can enjoyably be read as a stand-alone (although, like me, you may then want to add the previous books to your wish list).

First things first, I loved this novel. Colleen is an inspiring storyteller, and the novel was full of mystery, suspense, drama and romance. The romance was a little carried away, however, unlike the other novel I read by her. I also noticed a couple inconsistencies in the story, but overall it was great.

The characters were unforgettable, and the whole mystery feeling of "which one of the girls is the right one?" added flavor and intrigue. By the end the story had changed from a drama to an adventure, and try as I could, thinking as hard as I could, I could not figure out who the bad guy was until they revealed their identity at the end. And wow, I just used 'could' three times in the same sentence.

All in all, Lonestar Angel is a great book. I do agree it's geared more for women, and I do agree that it could be considered a romance novel, but I actually enjoyed it. So stop all your hating on Colleen! To further my point in the matter, there was no more romance in The Lightkeeper's Ball than in the average Ted Dekker novel. Colleen Coble has done a great job of weaving together a romance with a tight suspense plot. Ms. Coble knows how to write characters that come alive off the page. This is a fast-pased read that will keep you guessing as to what is really going on. When you add in the themes of trust, in each other and in God, as well as God has the control this story has the force of a rocket blast-off. I recommend this book highly!

This book keeps you on your toes from page one. I love mysteries that have you convinced you know who is involved, only to turn you around and upside down a couple of pages later. I thought I had it all figured out at least twenty times! This one will keep you guessing until the end.

The characters in the story are wonderfully crafted. I was not very keen on Eden at first. However, as her story unfolds, you begin to see her in a different light. Clay is wonderful, and definitely the dashing hero you want coming to your rescue. The children in the book also grab ahold of your heart. Each of their stories is so touching and at the same time heart wrenching.

It is the fourth book in the Lonestar series, from award-winning, best selling author Colleen Coble. I give this book five stars, a must have for your bookshelf!

A quick paced romantic suspense novel, Lonestar Angel was at the very least entertaining. I am a big fan of Colleen Coble so I was very surprised at some of the leaps in logic and often hokey dialog. I literally laughed out loud at some of the “romantic heart-to-heart” talks the two main characters had. I have never read a harlequin romance, so maybe that’s how its done, but I caught myself rolling my eyes at several sections in the book. All, that being said, I am still a huge fan and the book was still fun to read and touching as always.

It was page 321 before I could draw a deep breath and relax. “Lonestar Angel,” Book Four of Colleen Coble’s The Lonestar Novels, has the perfect amount of tension from chapter to chapter. “Lonestar Angel” is a blend of romance and suspense that surprised me on both counts. I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this novel, but what I got hidden between the pages was quite the ride.

This was another freebie Amazon sent me to read and review. I liked this book okay, but it certainly wasn't my favorite. I was looking more for that mystery type of book like the "Hunger Games" or "Michael Vey". Unfortunately, this was just average. I really like protagonists Eden and Clay Larson. I found myself cheering for them and occasionally wanting to hit them both over the head. It is so obvious to the reader and characters in the novel that they love each other. These too self-doubters can't see how much they mean to each other and are too afraid to open up.
The children are so loveable and in need of a hug. Each child’s personality, fears and needs are beautifully expressed. I dare you not to fall in love with them. The other characters in the novel add depth and bring the Bluebird Ranch to life.
Coble spins a suspenseful tale. The mystery around Brianna's kidnapping, the recent letter and tragic events that occur, will have you turning the pages to discover the secrets. This is a faith based novel, but it isn't over salted and the romance is sweet.
I will be adding Colleen Coble to my favorite authors list and encourage you to read this delightful novel. Lonestar Angel would be the perfect holiday gift for anyone on your list who enjoys suspenseful romances.

Eden is about to be proposed to when what she thinks is her ex husband arrives and tells her a) they are still married, b) their daughter that they thought had died is still alive.
Eden and Clay leave her life behind and head to where they believe their daughter is. They get hired at a camp for foster children taking care of the age group of their daughter. They take DNA samples of all of the girls in hope of finding out which one is theirs.

Listened to Lonestar Angel by Colleen Coble. This book is about. Old flings and a broken marriage. All with the help of God and faith this book can out ok. I’m a sucker for romance novels and this one seemed like it might be up that ally. I found this book to be a fast read for me. One I could pull out at a Dr.’s waiting room and polish off a chapter or two before my name was called. That’s a must for me lately because with two toddlers I don’t have much “Me” time. Their daughter is one of five small girls staying on the Bluebird Ranch, which caters for children in the foster-care system, and which is looking for a married couple to take over as counsellors for the group of five-year-old girls. A friend of Clay’s puts in a good word for them with the ranch owners, enabling them to get close to the girls to discover which is their daughter. When a rattlesnake appears in their bedroom on their first night at the ranch, they begin to suspect that someone does not want them there. Working so closely together gives them the opportunity to get to know each other in ways that they never did when they were married, as well as the chance to talk through why their marriage failed – and what they will do if and when they identify Brianna.

This was an excellent romantic suspense novel. The previous Colleen Coble novels I have read have either been more thriller than romantic suspense, or have been part of a series that has been difficult to pick up. This was a welcome change, with two flawed characters with a difficult shared history, united in their desire to find and care for their daughter. Lonestar Angel is well-written with strong characters, a fast-moving plot, plenty of suspense with a number of twists and an unexpected yet satisfying conclusion. Although clearly a Christian novel, it was not preachy, with subtle lessons on trust woven throughout.

I really enjoyed Lonestar Angel. What I liked best was how an extremely difficult event (the kidnapping and loss of a child, followed by their separation) led both Clay and Eden to become Christians and to grow as people without becoming bitter, despite their great loss. This meant that when they met up again, they were both able to put aside their differences to work together. I liked the romance, the faithful way Clay was still hooked on Eden. I also liked the twists in the story, the unexpected links between Clay, Eden and the kidnappers that really filled the story out.

This is the fourth book in Colleen Coble’s Lonestar series (following Lonestar Sanctuary, Lonestar Secrets and Lonestar Homecoming), but it can enjoyably be read as a stand-alone (although, like me, you may then want to add the previous books to your wish list).

I just love, love, love this book. Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors and this book didn’t disappoint. I was taken in by the very first paragraph.
The characters are very realistic and loveable, but the action and adventure outweighed all of the other parts of the book. What was even more wonderful was the special love story.
Eden and Clay had a baby and she was kidnapped and believed to be dead. So Eden left Clay and didn’t want anything to do with him.
