HOTTTT! I think my glasses were fogging up a little as I read this. I know my Kindle might have suffered a bit of abuse from my fingers clenching it so tightly. Sheesh!

She stops waiting after her soon to be husband and brother feed her lies for the purpose of bettering themselves. This is a hot and steamy book. The lust comes from love and it makes for great scenes....more

Lady Northam's Wicked Surrender packs a lot of angst, betrayal and forgiveness in a little over 50 pages. I enjoyed reading the novella. I felt that a lot of plot was packed into a small package. Mis-communication and circumstances beyond their control kept Rowena and Simon apart for 6 years. Simon is back and he is ready to claim Rowena as his own. Rowena is still hurting from Simon's rejection but her body still yearns for him.

Lady Northam's Wicked Surrender is a steamy romance. The chemistry...more

I enjoyed reading it, it's just that maybe because it's too short, I was like... well, that's it?
But it's surely hot. Steamy!
Although I was a bit disappointed at Rowena, just like Simon, I really could understand how it felt like to hear nothing from your love of life for months. You can't really blame her for not being faithful to Simon.

Would there be a story about Rowena's sister? I'd like to know. I think she's more wicked than Rowena. ;)

This was a very well written novella by Vivienne Westlake. Simon and Rowena were in love, but separated due to Simon's desire to improve himself and kept apart due to others selfish desires. After several years of being kept apart, they are reunited and discover all the lies and secrets that have kept them apart. Throughout it all their love and passion for each other still remain.

A well written novella, with adequate plot and character development. Rowena, widowed 3 years ago, is still in love with Simon, her childhood sweetheart who went off to war, in the process rejecting her and leaving his best friend Paul to pick up the pieces. Simon is now back and heir to an earldom; he yearns for Rowena but isn't sure whether she loves him enough. The chemistry between the two sizzles off the page, and the first scene between them is hot, hot, hot. The trop of deceptions and mis...more

I really enjoyed this, but I wish more of the emotional stuff had been discussed between the heroine and the hero. I feel like the most important conversation took place between the heroine and her sister.

Otherwise, Westlake knows how write and the sex ain't bad either.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Lady Northam's Wicked Surrender by author Vivienne Westlake. I will admit I'm not a huge reader of historical romances but this story really drew me in and I had to finish the book in one sitting. Rowena and Simon were once in love but circumstances and miscommunication separated the young lovers. Now, fate brings them face to face again and their feelings for each other are still very much alive after all these years. Rowena and Simon must work through their issues...more

A quick read in a historical setting. Two persons with old history reunites and reconnects. More plot than smut for such a short read (70 pages)

Nicely done. Can't go wrong with Vivienne Westlake though.

What a fun short read! Very enjoyable.

I enjoyed this book, it could have been a little longer but I don't think the novella length detracted from the story.

I hope Vivienne is going to develop some of the other characters in later books. Rowena's sister sounds interesting.
