I read this book to refresh my mind on Charlotte's style of writing before i read another book of hers "Lokant"

I enjoyed the short tales but felt it was maybe a tad too short. nothing major just i could see one or all of these tales being tagged on to her other books to entice the reader to her other works

It was nice to see some familiar characters pop up. I enjoy the authors work so definitely hope some more shorts in are in the works

Not normally a fantasy reader, i was intrigued to see how i would take to this collection - I was happily taken away into another world. I like that Charlotte English has released this as a introduction to her first novel. For readers like myself, it eases you in gently and allows you to acquaint yourself with a new formula before falling head first into the main plot of Draykon.

I already have my favourite characters and can't wait to see the role they will play. I have found introductions of 'c

A cute introduction to the characters of Draykon, but probably only worth reading if you're interested in the series. It is actually several vignettes and ends at 63%. The rest is a teaser or the first book in the series.

This is a collection of four short stories set in the Draykon world. I found them to be charming and often funny vignettes, featuring characters I've already come to love through reading Draykon and Lokant. These stories take place before the events of Draykon, and all the characterisation feels completely consistent. It really is a short collection - I polished it off in one short evening - but well worth a read. I particularly loved the starring roles of the animal characters in the last two s ...more

This anthology is set in the world of Draykon and includes:

Leximandra Reports
Rikbeek Earns His Keep
Sigwide and the Broken Birds

I haven’t yet read Book 1 in the Draykon series, titled Draykon, though I do have it in my review queue. After reading this fantasy anthology I can tell you I can’t wait to dive right in! Each story is short, told from various viewpoints and all f

Read it before I started Draykon....just wish author would describe the creatures a little better. We'll see how Draykon does.
Estremamente breve, eppure una lettura leggera e gradevole.

A series of short stories set in the same world as Draykon and Lokant, Leximandra reports gives a lovely look at some of the main characters, and is an amusing and engaging series of stories in its own right - and since its available free at the moment, and features the first part of Draykon, it's worth grabbing off amazon if you want to give this author a try!

Charlotte E. English is one of those people who began writing as a child and never managed to stop. She published her first novel, Draykon, in 2011, and two other books quickly followed, completing the Draykon Series. To date she has written and published eight fantasy novels and four novellas, and has a head full of far more ideas than she can ever hope to have time to write. ...more
