10* I loved book 2 of the Midnight Hunter Series even more then book 1. Donna gets herself in more trouble than anyone have ever seen before even with vampire protectors. Boy, is Donna in deep with a Demon, even trying to friend the demon. The Prophecy is being dived into deeper in the this book and more it does the more trouble Donna seems to get into. This book covers everything there is to cover, in my opinion, for the paranormal underworld. The characters are still awesome with getting to kn...more

Wow! Wow! Wow! Just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, in walks Howie Evil *wicked grin* Damn, if anyone could make a crude, foul-mouthed, human hating demon so delectable, it's Bonnie Bernard!
I was a little disappointed that Hunter was scarce from the beginning of the book, but thank goodness Howie was there to fill the "sexy as hell" gap and for some reason, every time Howie made an appearance in this book, I pictured Joe Manganiello!

A great Sequel to Book 1 Midnight Hunter! I couldn't put it down! The author does a fantastic job at expanding on the great characters developed in the first book bringing them into more detail as the story of saving the world from the Underworld War unfolds.
Donna starts off being a bit nerdy but motherhood and an overprotective Vampire spouse will do that to anyone. Once she sees the path she must travel and who must be at her side, there is no stopping her from saving the most precious thing...more

I loved the first book in this series! I loved the author’s wit and quirky writing, loved the characters and especially loved Mo. Naturally, I was looking forward to reading book two and I wasn’t disappointed.
Meeting up with now familiar characters from the first book in this series, was a blast! In “Dawn of the Hunter” the reader also gets to meet bad-ass demon Howie Evil – a last name which suits him perfectly. Howie is mean, favors guns to humans, has an appetite for human souls, is touchy ab...more

Dawn of the Hunter by Bonnie Bernard
Book two in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy does not disappoint.
The plot is fast moving and draws the reader in from the start. It kicks off a few months after the end on book one and builds momentum from the first page.
Character wise, the reader is introduced to a new, old character. Howie, Howie Evil to be exact. Although this character was present in book one, he was nowhere near this well defined nor this important. His stance on life, love and everything els...more

Where do you begin when everything about a book is just too good to miss even the smallest parts ? That is how good book 2 of the Midnight Hunter series was for me. The second book is full of all the wonderful characters from the first book, Hunter is still moody and controlling, Donna is still very innocent, although her eyes are opened towards the end of the book, Mad Mo is still as abrupt and hilarious as ever, in only the way someone with her style of bluntness can be.

It's now 3:30 in the morning and I just now finished Dawn of the Hunter by Bonnie Bernard. This is book 2 in The Midnight Hunter Trilogy. Why am I still up at 3:30? Because I couldn't put the darn thing down! That's why! I'm hooked!
This book starts up a few months after the point where we left off in Midnight Hunter. We don't get an easy introduction either. Right off the bat we find that Donna and Hunter's infant daughter, Lucinda, was stolen by Stephan, Hunter's brother who was previously thou...more

The second book in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy was a book I could not put down. Bonnie has done it again with another amazing book. Dawn of the Hunter was just as intense as the first one.

This is the second book in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy, and starts off a few months after book one ended.
Vampires, demons, the minions, the underworld and a goddess - all the characters are back from book one, and some new ones have come out to play. The characters have all greatly evolved, and there is much more action this time around. A prophecy turns everyone’s world upside down, and places it in danger.........can Donna be the...more

Team Howie! This novel is all about Howie Evil the demon with a soft side and his role in the Underworld Prophecy. I really really really like this character. He’s funny, crass, irritating and lovable all at the same time.

I enjoyed this book at lot more than the first. The writing was more stable only occasionally going a little out of plonk. There is more action, witty lines to keep you amused and tension and excitement to keep you glued to the pages.
We meet new characters and are reunited with the ones we already enjoyed spending time with in the first novel. I have to say I love the demon in this book. Then again I love anything to do with demons. This character is great and actually had me laughing...more

Dawn of the Hunter is the second book in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy. This one was all action from the get go. There’s so much happening in Donna’s life that its overwhelming. She has to face new responsibilities and demons. Speaking of demons, Howie Evil’s character was the most interesting part of the book for me. It was fun to read and just too good... When you are reading about vampires these days, its just become a fad - the vampire will fall in love with a human and the usual shenanigans....more
This is book 2 of The Midnight Hunter Trilogy. I loved this book as much, if not more, than the first one. As you know from book 1, Donna has a real niche for getting herself into a pickle, and continues to do so in this book. I am glad to say, she has become less naive and has actually grown a pair, thanks to my new favorite character, Howie. Oh Howie, he is such a bad ass with all his demonic dismay. He is one of a kind, kicking ass and taking names kind of guy, and may be the end of all human...more
This is the second book in this series. Donna is back, she's married to Hunter and has a beautiful little girl named Lucinda(who turns out to be quite special herself). When Lucinda is kidnapped, all hell breaks loose, literally. Her fate may be in the hands of a 4000 year old, chain smoking, demon named Howie. With no choice but to trust him, they set out to get Lucinda back. Working with Howie is not easy, besides the smoking, he's a gun loving, human hating, cranky old demon, but man is he a...more

I have to say that after the first book I was hooked. I could not put the book down. This book was non stop action. I have to say that I love Howie. There are so many twists and turns through this book that it kept me guessing. The author blown me away with her writing that I am surely impressed. I will definitely be reading whatever else that Bonnie Bernard comes out with. I'm not going to spoil the story for anyone, but you need to read this.

I should probably start out by letting you know I read this trilogy and is back to back. The second book was amazing and by far my favorite. I blame it all on Howie. I am not sure how a chain smoking, rude, smelly demon got so endearing, but he did. There is plenty of adventure in this installment and we really see Donna grow from the little girl who started the series moving back in with her parents and going to teen clubs even though she was not a teen, to a strong, determined woman fighting f...more
this is the second book about Dawn,Hunter and the others.
You have Cassie, Dawn baby and Mo baby in this one as well
the book is centre around Dawn and Howie who owns the gun shop that sells things to Vampires and demons.
He hate humans and has a name for all of them, but you will grow to love him
There is a sex scene in it which funny with Cassie and Howie
Also you will be laugh when Mo has to empty a cat litter tray and feed the cat

What I truly love about this series is the fact that relationships grow. In this book I followed the relationship between Donna and Howie from a rocky, gun-toting start to an unbelievable end. I was quite a bit frustrated with Hunter and his inability to trust his Eternal Partner with information that could help her in the tasks that the Prophecy lay before her. Donna doesn't stick up for herself and often stuffs herself right in the midst of danger at every turn, after being disobedient to Hunt...more
This book baffled me. It is like the author decided that book one was a bit to serious so there was a need to lighten things up. And while I understand that the female characters are young, in this book the ditz factor just went off the chart. In all the scenes when Donna Mo and Cassie interacted, I was getting a mental image of Larry Mo and Curly. And please tell me, is it just me or did Howie came across a bit more like a cartoon character then this fearsome but eventually likable demon? Also,...more

This is the second book in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy. I loved the first book, as it was completely unique as YA vampire stories go. However, this book is (in my opinion) even better! I absolutely LOVED it!
Donna is still a fantastic character. She has married Hunter and is a proud new mother of a beautiful baby girl. When her baby is kidnapped, Donna is thrown into a dangerous cat and mouse game with the kidnapper. Her only hope is Howie, a 4000 year old demon.

Book 2 is just as good as book 1 - probably better because I lost more sleep since I couldn't put it down!
The introduction of demons and a goddess was a kick-in-the-pants fun ride! I laughed out loud at some of the antics going on :)
I am so glad that I found out about this series after it was already out because I don't have to wait to see what happens next. If I did, I think it would kill me!

This book was gifted to me by the author. I can not get over how amazing this series is! In the second book the vampire vs demon war starts counting down. Friendship and love keeps the balance for order. Donna needed this wake up call and I can not wait to see what is going to happen in the third book! WaAR
Awesome book. Just as awesome as book 1, if not better. & considering I started reading this book sometime around 2pm & it is now about 4 am & part of that time was spent at work, well I think the time frame speaks for itself on how much I enjoyed it. I have got to get some sleep before I start the 3rd book though.
These book had me laughing so much, thinking omg what is going to happen now.We will meet some new characters like Howie. He is one of those characters you will want to hate but can't help but to love.He used some of his Howie charm on me and is now one of my favorite characters.
