One of the very best board books we've found in the whole library, for its rhymes, collage illustrations, and cultural accuracy. I plan to look for the entire World Snacks series. Pretty cool niche for the author... Why didn't I think of it?!

Casa muy bueno! Que hace frio, pero no perro, entiende? Mi ojo esta mucho caliente con este libro. Patas frutas! Patas frutas!

Mas pollo, por favor. Mas pollo, Julio Wanch. Mas, mas pollo.

This is the cutest, funniest book for little kids. It's got great pictures - some real food, some cutouts. The rhyme is cute and catchy - I have long since memorized it...Hola jalapeno / I said hello my chile friend / senorita quesadilla / cheese is melting out your end... For those not familiar with Spanish, there is a pronunciation guide on the back cover.

Like the sushi book, the book gets Jude excited about eating. He wants to eat all of the food in the book.
