Dani is a sweet girl just starting college and unaware of her parentage. Lukas was a perfect boyfriend until Dani left for college and I hate it when authors turn a perfectly nice guy into a bad guy just because they need the female protagonist single again. Well, they could have just broken up when she moved away.

Love, sex, action, and mystery Cat Miller's debut novel Unbound has it all and more! Be forewarned, this is not your typical love story. Danielle Vaughn is violently thrown into a world that she could have never expected and as each level of deceit is lifted she finds a new part of herself. It also seems that for every part of herself that Daniel finds she also finds a new lover, all of whom play a vital role in the story and I just couldn't help but get invested in each and every one of them.

I hate giving negative reviews, but this novel annoyed me. There were frequent grammatical errors that the author should have been able to catch if she didn't want to invest in an editor. Microsoft Word should have picked up several of them. Cat Miller constantly switched the point of view, mixed her pronouns and never explained who was speaking until several sentences into the dialog. She switched between past and present events without warning and rarely bothered to describe the setting of any...more

I have read many a Vampire story in my life and especially in the past year as a reviewer. This is by and large one of the best stories I have read thus far. Dani, the Vamp with the odds against her, prevails, growing stronger, bolder and after a few lovers, she finds the love of her life.

I really liked this book. I love vampires in fact there is not much about vampires I don't know (classes taken, many many hours of research done.) The only problem with that is I tend to not like many vampire related books (shows I will watch because I end up being able to play the same dvd for background noise for days) but books they can get a bit much for me. "Unbound" kept me from getting sleep and doing laundry. I simply couldn't put it down. I immediately adored Danielle and felt like I was right there with her every step of the way as she discovered college, love, and a deep, dark family secret. She's a sympathetic character whose company you will enjoy keeping throughout the book. I initially downloaded this book when it was on a free weekend. It was about vampires, so I figured, "Why not?". I was not expecting to like it so much! The story grabbed me from the beginning and took me on the adventures of Dani as she discovered her heritage as a half vampire. While this book is no longer on a free weekend, I can honestly say it was worth full price. I am looking forward to reading book two, which recently was put up on Amazon (and I am sure everywhere else).

I think I honestly may go with withdrawals, I really want to know what is going to happen next. If you enjoy, romance, suspense, action, vampires then you should really go and pick up this book.

They start by making the first book free, making you fall in love, then you have to pay for the rest to see how it will all end up. I started reading it and fell in love instantly. Umm.....I am utterly speechless. I can't begin to explain the awesomeness that is this book! I was completely enthralled by it.

This was a book that I actually finished all the way through, which is rare for me. The book was pretty good starting from the beginning.
One thing I didn’t like was that the love triangle was overly done. For a long time, I didn’t know who she actually loved. I felt at she led the guys on. Unbound is the first of The Forbidden Novels by Cat Miller. The book follows Danielle Vaughn on her journey of self discovery. This story is action packed and full of twists and turns. The characters are completely relate able and I found myself laughing and crying right along with Danielle. I loved every chapter of it. There was never a moment that felt drawn out or forced. I really, really tried to like this book, i did.. i swear. I actually truly was sweeped up at first, then about 30% of the way through I looked up the reviews for this book and found all the praise for it, so I continued. I should have none to stop then. This book has got to be one of the most emotionally engaging books I have read to date. I don't know if it was because I read it during an emotional time for me or what, but this book had me laughing, crying...and laughing until I was crying. The main character was very easy to relate to for me, so following her through the story was intense sometimes. It is a page turner of "what will happen next".
It is like the series twilight but hotter vamps.

I think I have fallen in love with mostly all the male characters in this book. Griffin will always be # 1.. I enjoyed Tessa and Griffin's relationship. I wish we could have learned more about them. The book is about their daughter which Griffin was unaware was even still alive. Dani aka Soleil is a coming of age teenager/demi-vamp and just is figuring out who she is in this world. I got this book as a freebie; thinking I would give it a try....unsure if a college theme vampire would catch my interest. OMG! I was blown away and sucked into the story. I loved it! Unbound kept me away from my laptop, which is very hard to do. I found myself needing to know what was going to happen next. I love a book that has me screaming for the characters to figure something out or do something quicker. I was doing this the whole time I was reading Unbound.
