The 1st in a new series – this was a rollicking race for the truth.

Jake is a trainee press officer for a government department. When he’s sent to cover a protest about a developer digging up a fairy ring, he wishes he was covering something more important. But then he sees something his bosses want him to forget. Something governments, churches and even past kings have wanted to hide. But he can’t forget. He won’t. He contacts a scientist friend for some answers and gets way more than he bargain

Published in England and distributed here, Mr. Eldridge's Invisible Assassin is what I would call pulp fiction, fast and furious with lots of action.
Youthful Jake is 18 and an orphan who is given a rare chance to be a journalist by winning his position in a writing competition. He wants desperately to succeed and gain a career in writing but is frustrated by limited opportunities at work. Now he finds himself on a routine assignment that goes 'sideways' when he witnesses the discovery of a rare
Not bad. Turned out better than I was expecting! Nice, quick easy read. Writing style flowed well and the story was okay. Good but not spectacular! 3 stars.
