We're going on a ghost hunt. We're gonna see some spooky ones. We're not scared. It's Halloween night!

We're Going on a Ghost Hunt is a children's Halloween book based on the song and poem We're going on a Lion Hunt. The pictures are cute, it follows the rhyme and should be read to children that will only find it fun and not be scared of a story about ghosts. You need to know your children and how they react to stories to guide them to the fun side of being scared with a book. My grandchildren loved this type of story but some children will find it upsetting due to the subject matter. It is fun, ...more

A retelling of Goin on a bear hunt. This song is always fun especially when you get into it with all of the actions. The artwork is also really nice!

Halloween version of We're going on a Bear HUnt

Summary: This is a cute Halloween book with a sing-song reading pattern.

Audience: This book would be good for children 3-7.

Appeal: A spooky Halloween story that is easy to read, and not too scary for young children.

Implementation: I would use this book in a public library setting for a Halloween story time. It is a pleasure to read aloud and it is a good book for toddlers because it is "spooky" but not really scary at all and has a cute ending.

This book is good to use to teach kids about adjectives. You could also add movements to the words to add movement into your classroom.
