Brett's style is simple, subtle, her form rarely varies. After a few pages I thought it might be a bit dull, but the beauty of this collection is the whole. I find the woman who writes the poetry beautiful. She is passionate, realistic, and flawed. Some of the poems, for example her experience counting objects (OCD) resonate with me like a mirror. Bears a reread.
