Wonderful book. I have had it since it first came out and worked through some of the rituals. I like that the book is divided into two sections. The first section is history and background. The second section is the actual rituals along with explanation. My pick for best most useable book on Isis of Ten Thousand Names, not to be confused with Aset/Isis of ancient Egypt. They are related but the practices are distinctly different to me. The former being a more classical ceremonial practice and la ...more

This book is more like a textbook. It is very thick and very well researched. The book is also expensive! I got it from my local library but anyone interested in ancient Egypt and the deities Egypt worshiped will find this book very enlightening. All of the legends and myths connected with her are here as well as the history of her worship and all she became the Goddess of 10,000 names.
Her rituals of worship are also included here. There are drawings as well. I highly recommend this book for tho

Hands down the best book out there for working with Isis, whether it's in a group or solitary. Most of the exercises still need adaptation for working with a group, and I had to tweak things a little to make them work with my preferred style of guided meditation/trance, but absolutely fantastic scholarship and very meaningful ritual more than make up for it.
Just bought a copy! There's only 2,000 or so copies of this new edition that went to the printer, so I had to scoop one up ASAP!

An incredibly thick tome: great for information, but a bit overwhelming in scope.

Definitely one of the best books for Kemetics, and Isian worshippers.

This is like the "Isis Bible" for the Goddess. The best book on the Great Mother Isis. All who love her should try to get a copy, used.

This is an outstanding book and is the kind of book modern Paganism needs, both erudite and profoundly experiential. Isadora Forrest deserves credit for creating such a fine manual for those who are, or desire to be, priests or priestesses of Isis.

M. Isidora Forrest has been devoted to Isis ever since the Goddess told her, in no uncertain terms, that she was not yet ready to be Her priestess. (Isidora respects a Goddess Who doesn’t coddle.) More than twenty years—and a lot of research, ritual, agony and ecstasy—later, Isidora has earned the title of Prophetess in the House of Isis. She is also a priestess of the international Fellowship of ...more
