Nothing in here revolutionized my concept of books, but this does make for entertaining browsing with photos and discussions of medieval manuscripts, leather and elegant cloth binding, typographic poetry, art exhibition catalogs and more. worth a look if the topic is to your taste.

good, but too brief, covering the dark ages up to modernism in two chapters, and limited to the contents of the National Art Library which gives it a severely narrow scope despite the varied catalogue of the NAL

What a great overview of a great collection! Very interesting approach to genre's in the book world and fine examples are chosen. The Poetics section is great and the art book section is intriguing.
