"Affirming that the missionary martyrs in the 1640s were rhetorical fictions of the Jesuit Relations..."

What?

No.

(The rejection is more based on this being not at all what I thought it was--it's just a literary review of secondary sources written 200-400 years after both of the missions. I can't find the primary sources being quoted anywhere, or even evidence that the author of this book has read them. But that particular quote just stuck out at me as no, and no again.)
