my son and I read this book...it was really cute. our favorite ugly animals were the aye aye and the blue tongued skink. we actually think the aye aye is kind of cute!

In 1957, Melvin Berger married Gilda Shulman (now Gilda Berger), also a noted author of children's nonfiction. The two have collaborated on many books, including the ongoing Scholastic Question-and-Answer series.
