I don't buy books...but I bought this one. Great new author! I was captivated with a sample of the first book, couldn't put it down once I got the whole book in hand, and the second was the same. The second couldn't compete with how great the first book was but it for sure kept the momentum going. A bit confused still with one scene but it was so good I just didn't care.
Man, I'm not sure why I'm even giving this book two stars... Wistfulness, I suppose. This one totally killed the series for me. I liked the first one just fine, though sometimes the characters were so daft is was painful and it was riddled with editing errors. In this one, the errors have been dramatically reduced. It is literally the only improvement made.

Demon Slave starts off from where we left Sebastian, Analia, Marik, Sonya and Ethan.. attempting to find one of Analia’s missing sisters. Kiersten Fay does an excellent job of making this a stand alone book and yet still weaving so very much of story arc into the book. I was impressed with her ability to make a reader feel comfortable whether they had read Demon Possession or not... for what it’s worth I would suggest that you read this series in order, I know there’s a shocker, but so far both...more
I loved this book! Kiersten Fay's Shadow Quest series is now cemented as one of my favorites - right up there with IAD, LotU, Demonica, Alien Huntress... well you get the idea :)
While you can easily see Fay's influence from other paranormal/sci-fi romance series (see my fav's listed above) she does a great job of making it seem fresh and exciting all over again. Many of her alien species share characteristics with well-loved paranormal creatures, but her story arc is unfolding as an amazing spac...more

I was excited to read book 2 of the Shadow Quest series by Kiersten Fay since I so greatly enjoyed book 1, Demon Possession, when I read it last year. However, I was disappointed with the scope and character development here. Demon Slave did a good job of continuing the major plot line established in book 1 but lacked the depth that I so enjoyed.

Another splendid read from Kiersten Fay. This sequel picks up right were the first one left off. Now we get to learn what happens to Marik after he got taken in the first book.
Throughout the book we learn a little bit more about Marik's dark past. Just enough at a time to keep you interested and wondering how fully he was abused. We also get to meet Princess Nadua, the heroine of this story. She is just as courageous as her sister and doesn't let anyone push her around.

I love this book. I like that we have several other story lines to look forward too makes you look forward to the next couple of books.
I like that Nadua is like like a warrior queen. Not just a queen who sits on a thrine but one who fights. I like that Mark got his happy ending even though I would have like tonread more about his past and what exactly happen to his sister but besudes that it was a good book and it will be put on my to be reread pile.

Great book! The plot thickens and the characters develop. Found it hard to put this one down. To begin with I wasn't that excited about Maliks story, I guess from the previous books I'd just been seeing him as a cook ! Boy was I wrong, so much more to him on top of the 'I'm a sexy, all man demon of every girls dreams' type of thing !
So captivating. I couldn't put this book down until I had finished it. When I started reading Demon Possession, I was totally hooked. I love the steamy romance, but even without the romance the series would be great. I had to buy Demon Slave as soon as I had finished the first book, and I finished this one within about a days time. I'm very anxious to find out what happens next.
LOVED this book from start to finish! A wonderful edition to the Shadow Quest series! This series is a blast!
Again, my one complaint, grammatical errors are littered throughout the book! Ms. Fay needs a good grammatical editor! Please! It was so annoying. However, I could ignore them b/c I loved the story so much!

I absolutely LOVED this book... I wondered how I could get over Bastian and Anya but traderous me didn't skip a beat. Kiersten Fays outerspace/alien planets are amazing. Her story line keeps going not one dull moment I am now in love with Marik as well... Mm mmm Mmmm... To be trapped / aboard that ship!!! I can only pray to the gods! :)

Kiersten Fay has a way with creating female characters who are both vulnerable yet deeply powerful individuals. Her women are whole, strong and competent, and as a female reader I appreciate this! Her setting and character descriptions are rich and powerful, drawing you deeply into another universe.
This story wasn't an easy one for Nadua and Marik, it was often rocky (quite literally) on a number of occasions, but I think the bittersweet nature of their relationship made both of their endeavors...more

I have been a fan of the paranormal all my life, from watching sci-fi and supernatural television shows with my eccentric mother, to reading almost every type of romance I can get my hands on.
Before becoming an author I worked as a ninja graphic designer, and while I loved it, my true passion is in writing paranormal romance. Currently I am working on my steamy romance series called Shadow Quest,...more
