I was so glad to be able to read Thicker than Water right after finishing Kiss of Death. I actually liked this book better than the first. This one was 602 pages and felt less hurried than the first one. If you haven't read the first book, stop reading right now and go read it as I am going to try not to spoil but because the story picks up after quite a cliffhanger in the first book, it will have to be given away a little bit.

(2.5 Stars) What on earth happened with "Thicker Than Water?" The story picks up right after the cliffhanger ending of the first book. Lexi wakes up in the hospital recovering from a car accident in which Gabe willfully caused the crash. To make matters worse, Lexi's dead friend's mother thinks she was in the accident that killed her son. She asks Lexi to go with her to view his body.

Book two basically picks up where book one ends. Lexi may be making a friend or two and Gabe is…….? hmmmm. She has started school and even has a part time job as a life guard. Her investigation into Austin’s death continues (which raises more questions) and she is spending a little more time with Dan?????? Her aunt and uncle are still insisting that he would be better for her. It appears that she may have someone that is trying to help her and may have someone following her. The ending to this o...more
Thicker Than Water picks up right where Kiss of Death left off. All the stuff I said in the review for Kiss of Death still apply to this book.
I read this book rather quickly, I liked the story line, I liked that it’s an easy read, and again the ending leaves an impossible cliff hanger. I got to the last page and wanted the third book. I contacted one of the authors because my daughter wanted to know when the third book was coming out and she said they are shooting for the end of this month (Janu...more

I enjoyed this book more than the first and mostly because the main character, Lexi, has some idea what is going on in the town around her. Her only issue? How does she get out of there??? But it seems like someone is wanting to help her, leaving secret notes in her locker and telling her things to beware of. Such a twist when you realize who her ally is.
This bet the first book by 10,909 miles! And I also rediscovered my hating of cliffhangers. :( anyway this book was amazing! Totally worth reading. But I am right now in the poconos moutains so I have no wifi so I can't download the next book on my nook :( and I am not allowed to anyway. School reading sucks shit. PEACE ON THE STREET SAN!
