"Inescapable" is a good book, full stop. "Inescapable" is a REALLY good self-published book, with a minimum of the typos and grammatical problems that haunt a lot of self-published authors. I enjoyed the story enormously, and the writing was better than average, with one (or two) substantive flaws. It is NOT my intention to nit-pick; on the contrary, I am definitely a fan, and will buy the sequels. I would love to encourage this author's writing. So I offer a couple of t

I'll give this one 2.5 stars
What I liked:
- Reed was a pretty fascinating romantic lead. He was compelling, interesting, and a little unf.
- While there was a love triangle, which I despise with the fire of a thousand suns, at least it was resolved in a single book. I can appreciate that versus other YA books out there which drag it out.
- The surprising (pleasantly so) villain there toward the end. I like it when I'm surprised every now and then.

Ahhhhh! I loved this book! I was wary at first because honestly, I like books where I can witness the love interests meeting each other for the first time, and with this past lives thing I kind of worried. BUT, it wasn't that much of an issue, they don't even remember anything so it's all cool for me ;)
As I read there were a few things that bugged me, one being the big thing that Evie does for Russell at the end of the book. I felt bad for Reed that she had gone back on her word, but a More...

WOW!!! I haven't fallen in love with an angel series so hard since Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush!!! I really Love Bartol's Premonition Series!!!! Inescapable Is a story of a seventeen year old freshmen named Evie, a brilliant down to earth collegiate who is just trying to fit in at a very prestigious college collee where she is on full academic scholarship. She finds herself inexplicably drawn to Reed, who from day one seems to despise her!!! Gorgeous and VERY straightforward, he adds humor and

I dont get this book to be honest - i liked the idea behind the book its very good, i really just wanted to enjoy it. But sadly i couldnt.
The reason is the love story was gnagging me through out this book, for simply one reason the term "soul mate" it seems to have very little factor in this book compared to the meaning of the word, i mean soul mate = THE ONE AND ONLY if im not mistaking thats the meaning of that word. So when it gets thrown around in this book it just kept g More...

I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I ended loving this book. I was hooked from page one and couldn't stop.
The story follows Evie who begins her freshman year at Crestwood where she meets three different men, Russell, Reed and Alfred.
She meets Russell at orientation and feels a closeness to him that she can't explain but seems so natural. She also meets Alfred, a kind of a geek but with a great personality that she befriends instantly.

Okay, I apologize upfront if this is a long winded review, but I have a few things I'd like to say. First off, who is Amy Bartol and why would you or me be interested in what she has written? I didn't find Amy by browsing Amazon or any other ebook vendors, like many fellow indie authors, I found Amy Bartol on Twitter. It was from there that I took an interest in her book.

I honestly had no expectations of this book. None. I picked up the Kindle edition without giving it a more than a moments thought looking for something mindless to get me through a long weekend that I had no desire to think over. So, I opened the file and began with less than enthusiastic demeanor. Little did I realize I could NOT put it down. The impassioned cries of my family couldn't tear the iPad from my hands, pizza was ordered, tears were shed, laughs were had, my heart tore a bit. So, why

I happen to stumble on this book when i was on Amazon , because I saw this book in the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" window.
First off- i have to say WOW. This book is amazing and i am so suprised i have not heard of Amy Bartol before! I am definatly going to read her books more from now on! I also will be reading the next book in the series!

I don't know why but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. When I first began reading it I worried that it was just going to be another ho-hum YA book, but man was I wrong. I felt the story overall was fast paced and action packed. I LOVE the relationship between Reed and Evie and I am immediately drawn to their characters. I have mixed feelings about Russell, but I think that is just because I love Reed so much. And speaking of Russell the one thing that grated on my nerves the entire b

While checking the stats on "Enchantment's" Amazon page, I noticed a new novel in the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" window.
The black and white cover didn't excite me -- I'm a magpie, attracted to bright and sparkly things -- but I was intrigued by the single white feather, as well as the title and decided to check it out. Big mistake.
I'm working on an impossible deadline, but once I started reading "Inescapable" by Amy A. Bar More...

Untungnya Evie walopun rada2 takut ga gampang kena intimidasi Reed. Untungnya Russel dan Freddie selalu mendukung Evie.

This book was awesome! I loved Evie and Reed and their chemistry. Evie's voice was so realistic with her spunk and attitude. Her description of college life was true to form and even through Evie was a "good girl" for the most part she had a deliciously rebellious side.
The ending was sad but I cannot wait to start the second book and learn more about her transformation and where she came from and of course I can't wait to spend more time with Reed. Their love scenes leave More...

The premonition series is amazing, I have never written a review before but after finishing both books in 24 hours, I had to write something to acknowledge what a gift Amy has given us readers by writing these books. I bought my kindle at Christmas and have read 72 books so far and having read lots of paranormal/urban fantasy books. I was pleasantly surprised to have my expectations exceeded by this author.

This book had many, many redeeming qualities, but I have to be honest: my absolute favorite parts were when Reed randomly spouted off how long she was asleep, down to the minute.
Killed me Every. Single. Time.
I will admit though, the soulmate dynamic drove me nuts. Pretty much everything ABOUT Russell drove me nuts, right down to his twang. This is just personal preference--love triangles are the bane of my existence and improper grammar, especially intentional, makes my t More...

This book was AWEEEE-SOOOME!! What an unexpected, action packed, twists and turns, romantic good read! Going into the book I didn't know what to expect! I wasn't sure what kind of YA Paranormal book it would be, although the cover gave you a hint, but I wasn't too sure; plus I think the author did a good job in keep the suspense as much as possible in reveling the secret in her characters. WOW, did this book really surprise me! The characters were AWESOME! There was not one thing I didn't love a

I LOVED this book! I could not put it down and when I was forced, I was not happy about it! Author Amy Bartol takes you on a journey like no other. Evie is a great main character that starts her freshman year in college. When she gets there she meets two guys, Russell and Reed. Russell is fun-loving and great to be around. Reed shoots her menacing looks and makes it perfectly clear her doesn't want Evie around. So why does Evie feel drawn to him? An unexpected force pulling her to him? What is g

It's been a bit since I've read an angel book. This one was pretty good. I liked that Reed was harsh at first. I have read a bajillion books that have the main guy and girl falling madly in love instantly, so I liked that this one wasn't as quick. The southern drawl that Russel had was a bit annoying when the word "y'all" was used a lot in the wrong context. Such as Russel telling Evie; "Y'all should have never gone with Freddie. Y'all should've gone for help, found Zephyr.” Y'all

Overall, this was a very interesting book and I liked the take on, well I won't ruin the surprise by saying what they are, but it was new and entertaining. I liked the main character and I thought Evie was well developed, but there could be a bit more development of the other characters - I felt like I didn't know much about them besides Evie's feelings for them. The biggest issue I had with this book was the word choice/usage. At times, very big/uncommon words were used that most people nev

Loved it! I enjoyed being wrapped into the story, getting acquainted with the characters. I felt what Evie felt when becoming aware of Reed, the passion pull that was almost tangible between the two. Then the complete frustration when Reed pushes away, almost literally. The pain, of loving someone that seems to not want you for reasons unknown. I felt overjoyed, when… (I’m trying not to spoil it:) when love is shared. The development of Evie, from a naive character, seeming at times unsure, deve

This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I kept thinking 'What is going to happen next?!' I read through the entire thing in one night and I plan on getting the next book as soon as I possibly can! I instantly fell in love with the characters which made the book that much easier to read. I hate it when you get a whiny main character that can't seem to do anything by themselves. I will say that at first a lot of the things really confused me, but everything cleared up quickly. Al

I didn't know what type of supernatural this book would involve but I really like it. The story was interesting and well thought out. I didn't expect the ending at all...which is always fun when you're engrossed in a book. Now I have to go get Intuition. ;-)
I would have given it 4 stars if not for the funny lingo throughout. It really started to bother me when the southern boy was saying "fittie" and "benjamins" and other words better suited for a rap song. If it wa More...

I bought this book on a whim because it was really cheap on Amazon and it was one of my recommendations on Goodreads. I had never heard of this author and I was really surprised how much I liked this book! So much that after finishing book 1 I immediately purchased book 2. What I particularly liked was Evie, she's a great main character. I read a few books recently where the female lead is extremely annoying. The only thing that got a bit on my nerves was the southern twang of one of the love in

Well, I was looking forward to this book because the reviews of it were so good. I honestly couldnt finish it because it just reminded me too much of Twilight. You've got your angry, agnst ridden male hero as well as the nice-guy strong male counterpart. The main character isnt really developed. I dont know. I just couldnt get into it. The lingo was also a huge problem. I understand these are teenagers and the author wanted to stay hip with the times but some of the texting acronyms I couldnt ev

This book was a good read: it kept my interest, I'm eager to read on and for the most part I like the characters. The storyline is pretty solid and ripe with opportunity and it managed to not be too predictable - which as an avid reader, is pretty rare. The romantic aspect takes up a large portion of the book, so if you're not really into that, then this isn't the book for you. The dialogue made me roll my eyes more than once - it can often read like a middle aged author trying to write how she
