I'm at a loss of words to describe it. the way Kavita and lily loved each other thts just.... it's what you call true love. may god bless everyone with tht. and after reading this I feel as if I can relate somehow knowing this one girl whose life is kinda on the outskirts of this book. once again I LOVED it!!!! it was truly awsome!

After hearing the author crowing about his AMAZING sales of ALL his books, I made a decision. Let's download the free sample and see what we find. I think the ranking on Amazon of #789,800 in Paid Kindle is very telling. Amazing sales my ass, and now I know why...it sucks. Reading this is physically painful. Blood started shooting out of my eyeballs in protest and I had to stop before I even reached the end of the sample. This doesn't need an editor...it needs a nuke to obliterate it from existe...more

Deserves 0 stars. This author should find another line of work. If you can't be professional or care enough about your story to edit it, don't put it out! UNEDITED, piss-poor writing and horrible character creation. Gushy prose of a 12 year old girl that lands flat. Last Flight Out should be this author's LAST book, it's that BAD! It's a disgusting story about a teacher who has a sexual relationship with a teenage student. The story is truly sick. I don't want to see it in the news let alone a Y...more

Kavita and Lily was in love, but their love was not approved by the society, call it forbidden, call it pedophilic, to me age is just a number, and love certainly knows no boundaries.

Why is it that the society is in acceptance of a relationship between 16 year old teenage girls and centenarian vampires? Wherelse a relationship between a teacher and a student is strictly forbidden, and once again, quote: pedophilic? How much different could a 16 year old think compare to an 18 year old? They sti...more

Very poetic in the manner which it was written. A true romantic story. Carroll Bryant introduces a scenario of popular discussion, a relationship between a 16 year old girl and a 28 year old man. I love how it ended, somewhat surprising. I felt the emotion of the characters. Carroll created a vivid world through words and amazing story-telling. Many authors may have been too tempted to cheapen the romance, but Carroll nailed it! I was fearful of how graphic he would go with it at first, so imagi...more

This is an amazing book. I was so impressed with being pulled in, that I felt like I was actually a part of the story. For me, at times it was a roller coaster ride of "What the heck are they gonna do!!??". One moment, I am mad that I agree with the characters decisions, and then I am happy that the story is going the way I want it..(but then it's maddening that it's totally taboo!! and you ask yourself.. GOD.. if this was real.. would I feel the SAME?) I loved the characters.. strong.. weak.. s...more

Just finished to read it now and.... man, Carroll, you always know how to make me cry!
I've been often on the verge of tears but nothing like when I was reading the near end of the book... Man, I couldn't stop the stream of tears that flowed onto my cheeks...

I've been hating Mary all the time and that brief interaction between her and Kavita got on my nerves to no end.

Instead I loved Lily from the beginning! :) and the love she and Kavita shared was so....WOW! Intense and sweet and beautiful.....more

First when reading the blurb, we instantly wonder why their love is so forbidden to society. I know this might be considered a spoiler, but in my opinion, is something that you need to know when deciding to read this novel. The forbidden love between Kavita and Lily is because of the age gap. The iconic and in my eyes, hated relationships between a teacher and one of his students.

I personally would have thought twice about reading this novel if I knew of ths fac...more

This was actually a pretty good book. I loved the story, but sometimes the narration was a little too vague and wordy. I'm still not sure about some parts... I absolutely hated the way it ended though. It left me feeling helpless and wanting to scream at the characters for not being patient and riding out the storm. If you want a book that will rip you in two- this is for you.

Hmmmmm, what to say, what to say. Obviously, it wasn't horrible. It was actually really good. Though one day I'm gonna slap Carroll for making me cry at the end. I despise crying. Books almost never make me cry, but this one did.

This was an amaaazing book! It was very well written and the story itself was very well planned! Through out more than half the book I thought it would be a classic love story but the ending changed everything and I LOVED it!

There's no way I could stomache a sexual relationship between a 17 year old and an adult, let alone a 12 year old and an adult.

This is a poetic, sweepingly romantic drama of forbidden love between a talented artist, Kavita Davidson, and his protege, high school student Lily McCourtney. This is a thought-provoking book which treats a very sensitive subject with dignity and humanity, and makes you feel for the characters, without ever descending into histrionics or melodrama. Well done.

Can't finish this - the writing is unfortunately a real bore. I fell asleep every time I wanted to continue this, took me but a few pages, and I'm sorry, this can't be it.
