DNF...I tried, but I found I just didn't care. Kindle Freebie.
This was supposed to be the 1st book of a series. It says first book of a new series. I found out when I got in, however; that the main couple, Nico and Aylia, were actually introduced in another series. The first chapter begins with her screaming at him about taking and wearing her charmed necklace (?); and huge convoluted infodump. The entire 2nd chapter was an uninspired sex scene. Loved it! It was short but had a lot of depth. Nico and Aylia come from completely different backgrounds. Nico is not only a werewolf but the Alpha. Aylia is a witch with a curse, and needs a necklace to stay alive beyond her 26th birthday. When she gained access to his territory over a year ago to help out with a certain situation, they were together for 6 months. However, Nico sent her away, accusing her of ruining matters regarding a spell.

I think this is one story that would have benefited from more time spent fleshing out the world. There were angels popping in and vampires who... I don't know. There was just a lot going on. Too much, in my opinion.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I really enjoyed the story while I was reading it, but it seemed like it stopped kind of abruptly. The author created all these obstacles and problems that needed resolving, and in the last chapter everything was fixed with the snap of a finger, by some outside character. This was more of a novella that bridges the Werewolf Society books and the Vampire Wardens. It is also a “steamy” read, so if you’re not into stories with sex scenes, this is not a story for you. "Werewolf Society" continues with some of the same characters from LRJ's Vampire Wardens series (which I LOVED) and while I was anxious for Nico & Aylia's story, it just didn't grab me like the previous books. I did enjoy it, Nico was an Alpha Werewolf dream and while I liked what little of Aylia that I glimpsed from the previous series, I just didn't care so much for her in this one. She seemed rather whiny and just irritated me. It still was a good read just not great
I've been kind of burnt out on the whole werewolf/vampire world, so I was a little reluctant to read this one. This book is the first of a series, but it is also tied to Vampire Wardens. I really think I would have enjoyed the book that much more if I had read the Vampire Wardens series first. Well, with that said, I still loved this book! I love how Aylia didn't just give up. She kept fighting it. Not letting Nico see how much he had hurt her a year ago.
The chemistry between these two is amazing. I can't wait to read the second book now. But first I will read the Vampire Warden series. :)

This book is listed as the first in a series but it seems like it is a spin off from another series. There is very little explaination as to what is going on. I feel like I'm missing all the backstory and motivation for these characters. I am going to have to do some research and see if there is another story that is in front of this. I am going to put it back on the "to read" shelf until I can figure out what is going on.
I loved the Vampire Warden series, but the Werewolf Society has me drooling. The men are hot and the sexual heat is pure animal passion. What do you get when you put a scorned witch who has to wear a amulet to live and a alpha werewolf who had to pretend he didn't love her to save her life from a rogue? A heck of a lot of danger, suspense, passion, and romance. This is the it book for me. I loved and want more. An utterly confusing beginning and although I understood more as the story unfolded it's blindingly obvious this is a spin-off of the author's Vampire Wardens series released last year. As this was my first book by Jones the events, characters and romance in this shorty didn't mean anything to me and the story wasn't long enough for me to care about them either.

Yep this book is hot, hot, hot!....maybe it's all that leather, maybe the sex, maybe the werewolves or that sexy little minx witch aylia or maybe just maybe it's the ever so sexy Smoldering Alpha Nico!...who looks like sex it's self.
This Johnny Depp lookalike is yummy in all that leather it made me melt like butter.

I really enjoyed this story, the only reason its 4 instead of 5 is because it was short, I wanted more, I can read a 400 page book in a day, so this was so quick...but the storyline was fabulous and the characters were interesting...will read more from this author...
I'm not really sure that I understood any of what I just read. But more sex would have been nice. I got that part.

I didn't read any of the previous novels and it didn't really matter. The author did a good job bringing the reader up to speed with things that have previously happened.

This one confused me in the beginning because it starts in the middle of a fight taking place from a previous book that I had not read. Though, the author does state this in the beginning. I enjoyed it once after I understood what was occurring. :)

This was a spinoff from another series. I found it difficult to follow without the history of characters who pop in and out of the story and the back story is part of the motivation for a lot of scenes. Very difficult to follow.
I enjoyed it! I loved Nico and his witch Aylia. He kinda went about things the wrong way but I did love his reasons! He really was head over heels for her and trying in his own way to protect her and keep her safe!
