I loved this book! Full of suspense and romance! Great characters! Loved it!!!!
It is okay. I am only halfway through and dont love it as much as I thought I would. It is very predicatble so far and it wants me to read about the other characters. Johnny is a strong mosunderstood man while rachel is tough. I had a big problem with rachel not letting other people help her with her problems. I loved her son and the other teenagers though.Hope it gets better. Why would you protect someone who hurt you? I cant wrap my head around it. The second half was much better than the firs ...more

In Herron's romantic suspense novel, Johnny Long was a successful rodeo champ. Now he was determined to devote his time to a cause he understood all too well: giving kids a second chance in life. After hiring a mysterious woman, Johnny realizes that trouble has reentered his life. Rachel Presley is beautiful, and her five-year-old son is adorable, but the fear in their eyes practically breaks his heart. Before long "accidents" begin to happen placing Rachel and her son in danger, and convincing ...more

A must read

This book is a must read. So heart felt and inviting into a story of hurt, abused pasts and happy endings
This book fell flat, had too many bad guys, most of whom saw no consequences. I didn't see how the two of them had chemistry to overcome their obstacles. Very one dimensional. This book had great reviews and I was on a hold list at library for a long time, but I just don't see what the others saw in this book. I managed to finish it so it got 2 stars.

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Rita Herron fell in love with books at the ripe age of eight when she read her first Trixie Belden mystery. Although she wanted to be a writer then and actually scrawled her first novel at age twelve, she didn’t think real people grew up to be writers, so she became a kindergarten teacher instead. Ten years ago, she traded her classroom storytelling a ...more
