This is really three books in one. "Share or Die" is the theme of several essays in the book, and you will find inspirational stories about how people pool resources, from housing to knowledge, in order to live better than they would otherwise. In the introduction to this collection of essays, articles, and a few comics, Cory Doctorow says that "There's a lot of anger and disillusionment in this book, and there's some blind optimism and more than a little naivete." I won this book on Goodreads First Read and what a wonderful book. A compilation of stories from people living their own versions of their own dreams. Inspirational, beautifully honest, brutally opinionated, and a must read for anyone wondering why they forgot how to be happy, while struggling to make it in the modern world, with the economy as it is. A must-read if you give a damn.
Would like to see a follow-up comprised of stories from Gen Yers/Millennials that have been weathering the recession, who come from different demographics (especially non-college educated).

I thought that this book was a very good, informative book. While slightly depressing in some respects, in other respects it was very optimistic and hopeful. "Share or Die" tell a story about surviving today as a young adult. The book talks about college, co-ops, helpful websites, all revolving around the idea of sharing. Great read! I suggest everyone reads this.

This is a collection of stories that illustrate the point that we as a people tend to have a mindset to follow along like sheep. We are told this is the way to do it and more often than not, most people just go along. I enjoyed reading it and agreeing with some of it and learning some new ideas.
