But despite the horrible shelf dilemma it has caused I LOVED this book, definitely the best book in the series. This book carries on almost straight away from Sought. Xairn has taken Lauren and himself to get their DNA changed so the AllFather can't find them. But the AllFather is no longer after Lauren anymore, he now wants Xairn back as part of a diabolical plan to gain immortality.

What I loved most about this book? Xairn, I just wanted to cuddle him close to my quivering bosom, then have him put me over his knee and spank for being such a bad naughty girl. I never thought that a grey skinned, red eyed and double cocked alien would ever float my boat, but seriously Xairn floats a whole fleet of my boats and then some. He manages to be vulnrable yet tough and protective; drop dead gorgous yet not realize it and tortured but not whingey. Ode to Xairn (the abbreviated version) is now finished.

Now lets start on Lauren who is by far my favourite heroine in the series. Unlike the other crazy chicks in this series she realizes she loves Xairn quickly and doesn't try and fight it, instead she tries to make her relationship with her warrior work; this endeared her to me massively. I mean I don't get why would you resist being bonded with such perfect men? It irked me in the other books; I wanted to get some serious slappage down with Liv, Sophia and Kat, what is wrong with them? When a sexy, honorable, devoted-to-you alien with a giant love stick knocks on your door (or beams you to his spaceship) you DO NOT run away, you start riding the love train as soon as you possibly can! *takes deep beath* right rant over, back to the book!

As this is an erotica book, I should talk about the sex. Honestly, there isn't as much as you would think, and it mainly occurs towards the end of the book. What Found does is build up the sexual tension between Xairn and Lauren until eventually it explodes. It is hot and it is kinky if you like a little bit of BDSM you will definitely be panting by the end.

This book also continues the story between the Kindred and the Scrouge, led by the AllFather, Xairn's father. I liked this story, it has kept the books in this series tied together and now that this has been concluded, I wonder if there will be anything similar to tie future books together. I know that this was originally supposed to be the last book in the Kindred series but I can see at least the potential for two more books and I really hope thar Ms Anderson continues to write books in the Kindred universe. This has been one of my favourite series this year it is something a little different, romance-erotica-scifi is not something you come across everyday and each book has drawn me in and left me wanting more. Wow~! Best Kindred! I loved the angst and romantic tension offered in this book. LOVE THE LENGTH! Anderson continues to introduce new characters and intrigue through sub-plots that are super-enjoyable. I can't wait until she writes books 5&6! I'm a big sci-fi/paranormal fan and this author includes all that's fun with that: world-building, warring, protection, good vs. evil, it's all there in a book for $3. She's RUINED me for more expensive books! Nice.

I have to say Evangeline Anderson should have subtitled this book the Periles of Pauline (or Lauren as it were)....Once again Evangeline Anderson has "Found" another hit in her slightly wacky, sci-fi/futuristic erotic romance series. You have to love Lauren's strength and fortitude - she overcomes kidnapping, torture, falling for the son of the evil AllFather, escape, near re-capture and sale into sexual slavery, DNA alteration, having body parts removed and return to Earth only to battle her love's deep seated fear of exercising his Dominant sexual self and refusal to take their relationship to the next level! Xairn even gets creative in his desire to switch roles and make Lauren the Dom in an effort to consummate their relationship!
Sexy, tantalizing love scenes, with just enough kink to flip anyone's switch pepper throughout the story but Anderson teases both her poor Lauren as well as the reader by making them wait through a large portion of this story to get to some truly hot lovin! The sex is actually integral to the plot in that Xairn is coming into his great powers and also redefining his life as a Scourge who sheds some, but not all, of his upbringing and genetic makeup as well as his truly evil overlord father.

Some of the best parts of this story bring back former characters and the way Anderson builds on the previous story arcs really fleshes out the world and makes it feel like an ongoing saga. Deep and Lock finally get the super hot menage loving with Kat long awaited from book 3 and Sylvan's wedding "luck kiss" between Nadiah and Rast is smokin hot....totally makes up for the slightly anti-climatic final battle with the AllFather.

I highly recommend Found and the Brides of the Kindred series to anyone who is not familiar with Evangeline Anderson's work. Her stories are amazing and definitely addicting!! Please do take Tyra's advice and read IN ORDER. If you jump into one of the later books such as Sought or Found without the lead in, you will be completely lost for quite some time. (less)

Once again, Anderson changes the formula just enough to keep things interesting. It's nice to see a role reversal between the male and female character motivations. And we are treated to another entirely different setting in the Kindred universe.

The scourge don't have a proper home world for us to explore and unlike the previous forced courtships, our male and female do actually want to be together. So this books comes off as more of a traditional space adventure tale than the previous three. In...more

The plot and characters had the potential to be an awesome read to rival the last three books. The possibilities alone had me foaming at the mouth to get my hands on it, I had to have it. Well let me tell you, I would have rather not have found out that there was a fourth book if I had known it was going to be like this. I've always been a fan of Anderson's dirty mind. The first three Kindred books were all nail bitters with the character relationship dynamics. I fell in love with them all, Xairn was even one of my favorites. Just knowing that there would be a book written for him had me happy dancing. The cherry on top was knowing that the main character's name was Lauren!

I thought “this is going to be great because my own wombmate's name is Lauren. I can tease her later about falling in love with the bad boy.” Let me tell you again how wrong I was.

Found started off with a bang; I loved the beginning. You could really get a sense of the characters. It didn't seem like it would be a hardship to finish the story if it stayed that suspenseful. Unfortunately, it didn't. Once they set off for Earth things became so boring I wanted to cry. Xairn and Lauren became absolutely boring!

They finally admitted that they love each other and it kind of spoils everything. Lauren is convinced that Xairn would never hurt her. Xairn is so sure he will harm the woman that he loves so he keeps himself mentally and physically shut out of their relationship. He still wants her, but his Scourge urges that make him want to dominate her in some hot and heavy BDSM don't allow him to act on his wants. You can guess what that leads to, sexual frustration. After the hundredth time they said “I love you, but we can't.” I stopped feeling sorry for them. Then at the very very end when things finally come together and they get what they both want (to “Bond”). It can't even be considered domination! If dark all dominating sex is nothing but a spanking and being tied to the bed there are a lot of freaky kinky people in the world. The story line was predictable because it followed the story line of the last three books. Kindred men are sexy but kind of dumb when it comes to taking what they wanted in the first place.

Honestly, if I had known this was a soppy love story where there would just be “I love you.” followed by “I love you too much to ever hurt you.” I wouldn't have picked it up. The conversations seemed so forced to me. All the fun characters were downplayed to the point that I was so happy when Nadiah and Detective Rast's POV came into the storyline I could scream. Not to mention if I had to read Lauren calling Xairn “Baby.” again I would lose it. What was it with the pet names anyway? First it was the Beast Kindred's Lilenta. Then the Blood kindred have Talana. Twin kindred say M'lady. Scourge have no terms of endearment so it was up to the human to come up with one? Mhhh. But even the nickname Lauren put to the big bad Scourge couldn't frustrate me more than the ending. Oh my God the ending!

Xairn is the only one who can compete with his father. It has been building up for the past three books so you're going to think finally! It was predicted by the Goddess after all that this was to be an epic battle. Basically I was prepared for an explosive battle only to get a little puff of smoke. Very disappointing. To top all this off the typos were just as consistent as the “I love yous.” It is one thing for this to be a manuscript or and ARC, that is expected because it isn't a completely finished product. This story was put up for sale as a finished book. The whole story was long and painful at times only to seem rushed at others. Now there are to be two more Kindred books which I am hesitant about reading.
Overall Found wasn't my favorite Kindred story. From the plot to the characters I feel there just wasn't as much thought put into this one unlike the other three. Hopefully the next in the series will be better.(less)

Evangeline Anderson hits it out of the park again. While the concept of these alien races is somewhat difficult to swallow, especially Xairn's particular race, she makes it intriguing and takes you past the fear and allows you not only to fall in love with the man, but with the woman as well. The characters are well drawn out and well delivered. You can relate to their fears and their desires and although, at times, it's difficult to picture the setting I love these books.

Hummmmmm..... Where to start. I love Lauren, I love Xairn. I think he had just enough of tortured past, pain, scared emotion to fit the formula of the book. Lauren, absolutely the perfect h for him. BUTTTT, I don't care how strong of a woman you are. When you are abducted, almost abducted again, mind fucked by the AllFather, cloned and on and on and on how can you not be a little jacked up. That, is the only fault I could find in Lauren.

This novel had a 3 star rating and my goodwill despite some genuine flaws in the quality until I read the book's last paragraph. I hate shocking, surprising, out-of-nowhere soap-operesque cliffhanger endings. It just feels like a gimmick intended to force me to read the next book and I would buy/read the next book anyways because I'm pretty fond of this series.

24% way thru, LAUREN AND XAIRN have just had the DNA modified in each of their bodies to hide from the ALLFATHER, They actually exchanged with each other. So Lauren will have Scourge DNA and Xairn will have HUMAN DNA which he needs poor thing...

Also Sophie and Sylvan have their wedding... Adam Rast the HUMAN Private Dective searching for Lauren shows up on the mother ship of Kindred to interview the brothers Baird and Sylvan and accidentally 'but by fate' ends up participating in the wedding party. He completes the goodluck kiss with Nadiah who is related to Sylvan and from TRANQ PRIME. She wants to kiss a blood warrior and has the gift of future sight now. She has seen Adam in her minds eye and cannot wait to kiss this BLOOD WARRIOR.. BUT..... after the kiss finds out he is human and is upset. She well they all thought he was kindre Deep seen the detective and mistaked him for Merrick a kindred warrior who was to be part of the wedding...
But the detective is strange, his size same as the kindred warriors a good 6.5 foot tall. Deep green eyes 'true green' as kindred call it... a forest green. He looks Kindred in all aspects. So how can this been Nadiah seen the future of her kissing a Kindred warrior.. Could he be part kindred and not know it???? Maybe his mother or grandmother was breed with a Kindred a hundred years ago??? I have a feeling something is in the blood!! Not yet revealed..... But then there is Revealed (Brides of the Kindred #5) which is about NADIAH AND ADAM!!! Could he be part kindred? Guess I have to wait and see in the fifth book... ..
Great exciting read so far.. Very entertaining..

38% DONE READING, Such a good read... wow.. Seems Xairn has some humanity in his DNA now. He loves Lauren, but how will he deal with it since scourge natually are SADIST toward their women.

Well as I have stated each book is a continuation on to the next book.. which it is... I love this series and can only say I am on to book five now and not happy since there are only six boos in the series.. I hate to reach the end of a series and know there are no more books... We do however need to write the author and ask for more.. she said she only planned on writing four books and due to fan request she wrote two more.. well get busy fans.... ask for more ask for more... but in a nice way. Be respectful.. some fans can demand more and I would hate nothing more than a fan to be upset with anger if I were a author saying I want more it was not enough!!! Lets ask or beg with sweetness lol.. I am... JOIN ME ASK THE AUTHOR FOR MORE....

I know it shouldn't matter in a book like this but...

1) A parsec is a unit of distance, not time. This may be forgiveable as the character who makes this mistake (more than once) is non-human.
2) The nearest galaxy to us is 2.5 million light-years distant. So having someone be '100 light years away in a whole different galaxy' is not right. Not even when they later amend it to hundreds of thousands of light years away. Of course, maybe I just have to forgive this with the assumption that the char...more

I enjoyed this book, but it felt a bit forced. It followed the same formula (minus the whole home planet exploration bit) as the first 3, but whereas the first 3 flowed nicely, this one did not. The story was interesting and engaging, but the editing has gotten sloppy. I kept finding small, annoying errors. Normally I don't have such an issue with these, but they were all over this book.
All in all, though, I enjoyed this book, but I hope that this isn't a sign of things to come for this series....more

This is my favorite book of the Kindred Brides series. Lauren is my favorite Bride. It's not often that a black woman is featured in a paranormal romance. This one is done very well. I like Lauren, she has spunk, just like Kat from the 3rd book. Xairn has been around for a few books now and we finally get to know him. This was one of my favourite so far, it's tells the story of Xairn, the evil 'allfathers' son. Xairn a product of a gruesome upbringing, finds love when his father kidnaps a girl, whom he wants to start the new 'scourge' race with, a prophesy awaited.

Lauren and Xairn, who escaped from the evil AllFather in the last book, are in a desperate flight for their life and they must get their DNA changed so the AllFather can't get to them. They have feelings for each other, but Xairn doesn't want to hurt Lauren, which he is afraid he'll do because of his Scourge nature.

It's 3.5 stars (I don't feel the book is adequate for 4 stars).

Pros:
- The book is about hot aliens and Anderson succeeded in making me feel it ;)
- The characters were likable for me.
- A lot of things happen, not boring.

Cons:
- There isn't a good or memorable plot.
- It's another easy cheesy sexy novel and series (I like the smexy, but why is quality a missing adjective?)

I think I broke my own record with this book, because it took me waaaaaay too long to read this. I mean, I read Atlas Shrugged quicker than this one!! So, FOUND is the story of Lauren and Xairn. Lauren is the girl that actually-factually fulfilled the Scourge prophesy and Xairn is the Scourge male that saved her life and fell for her. If you don't know: the Scourge are the bad guys. So this is kind of a redemption tale for Xairn. His race has this horrible character trait of wanting to completely dominate their women. I know, right? How vile and disgusting!! (Note: the ladies of this series are really ridiculous. Just... really.) Anywayzzz, Xairn and Lauren try to make this sex-less relationship work because he's too scared that he will hurt her. Well, we can all figure out how that works, right? Correct! It doesn't!

I just felt like it took for-EV-er to get through this one. If I had to read about how Xairn "needed to leave for her own good" because his "dominate nature would end up hurting her" I was gonna start pulling hairs out of my head. We were reminded of this at LEAST once every two chapters and it was just... UGH. Stop.

Lauren was pretty cool, actually. I can safely say she's my favorite heroine of the series so far. However, I think I'm gonna like Nadiah (sp?) as well. The few little scenes with her and Detective Rast (the two that will be the H/h of the next book) were really good. I was more interested in their interaction than anything else.

So, this book had potential for sure. I just feel like it never really got to the place I wanted. Oh, well. It was still pretty entertaining and did not thwart my plans to continue this series in the slightest.(less)

Another great book to add to this series.
I have said in earlier reviews that I love Xairn, and this book just made me love him even more.

The book starts with Xairn and Lauren arriving at the planet, where they can get their DNA changed. This will stop the All Father from being able to track them down.
The planet Oah is creepy as hell, filled with violence and sexual slavery. The people there cut off women's fingers and use them to make clones, to sell. *shudders*

Xairn's stupidity knew almost no bounds when it came to keeping Lauren safe from his desire to pierce her goods. Let's see, we can take her to a strange planet full of evil, gene-splicing aliens. Get into a argument with her and leave her alone and unguarded in a spaceship parked in an alley. For her protection, you know. Never mind the splicers in the dark. Let's see, we can also take her to a strange home and mix some DNA. Get into another heated, "I must stay away before I want rough sex with you" argument and leave her to the clutches of alien, aardvark looking creatures. Because, you know, rough sex is worse than having an alien slice off your finger and makes clones out of you.

I'm glad when Xairn and Lauren finally figured it out. I almost wanted to draw them a map.

Should I mention that Detective Rast was beyond annoying with his continued insults to Nadiah's psychic abilities. Once, twice was enough. Come on, Rast - If you're living in a world where alien races, space ships, and teleportation is possible, but your teeny, tiny mind can't comprehend the potential for psychic talent, then maybe you should quit the police force and go draw the world flat. You moron.

You know what? I still enjoyed the book. I just enjoy bitching about it more.(less)

I'm a big fan of this series so biased. Another enjoyable story this time following the story of Lauren and Xairn, son of the very evil AllFather, both of whom are Scourge not Kindred but the enemy of human and Kindred alike. Xairn is ready to rebel against evil and his controlling abusive father by taking Lauren away from the AllFather who'd previously kidnapped her to mate with and thereby fulfil his power controlling prophesy of a resurgent Scourge dynasty under his control.

For some reason, I really enjoyed Found. If you read my reviews of the other books, I was pretty unforgiving. I still am, but I found the dynamic between the two main characters, Lauren and Xairn, to be much more pleasant than what the author has written in her prior books. Sometimes less is more, that's how I felt about 'Found'. There was just so much that scenes felt like they drag on.
