I am a huge fan of the Harmless series and was looking forward to reading the short story about the much loved characters Micah and Dee.
This is an extremely short story, literally one chapter and takes less than half an hour to read. It goes straight into the bedroom with Micah and Dee and then waking up in the morning, Dee gives Micah a birthday present which does not involve going back in the bedroom.

Without a doubt, I would have liked this short story more had I read "A Little Harmless Lie" first, which is the preceding book in the series and told the story of Micah and Dee meeting and getting together. There is clearly a strong relationship between the couple and this is a good "what happened after" story. Fans of this series will definitely enjoy this short. That said, let me be clear about what this is if this series is new to you. It is a short erotica story, that includes light BDSM. I...more
To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the story, but I have a feeling that’s not for anything the author did. It just was not my thing.
The writing was well-done, nicely edited, not a lot of mistakes like with so many Indie books, but the story just didn’t suck me in. It also annoyed me a little that the main story was only 36% of this book. The remaining 64% was filler—advertisements for some of her other books, under the current pen name and others, along with samples of some of her other stories. Ca...more

Short and sweet outtake, one year into Dee and Micah's marriage. Dee has a surprise for him on his birthday. I think he liked it :)
I think this one was shorter than the rest of the futuretakes. For something this short, I would have offered it up as a free read. I can't say that spending 99 cents was worth it.
I am already a Harmless addict. I loved A Little Harmless Lie - I've re-read it 2x. Micah is one of my fave ALH heros. This short was the perfect addition to Micah and Dee's story.
Deleted not worth while.

Born to an Air Force family at an Army hospital Melissa has always been a little bit screwy. She was further warped by her years of watching Monty Python and her strange family. Her love of romance novels developed after accidentally picking up a Linda Howard book. After becoming hooked, she read close to 300 novels in one year, deciding that romance was her true calling instead of the literary sh...more
