Alexander “Bull” McKinley’s reputation as a hard-nosed businessman is tested when an old Fairy Gate and local superstition stand in the way of a lucrative development contract. Alex has his hands full trying to convince the villagers to play ball, without the unexpected—and definitely unwanted—attraction to the feisty redhead leading the revolt. Dee Ashman detests those ...more

To quote author Tricia Jones “I write contemporary romance with strong, sexy heroes who like their own way and heroines who give as good as they get”. I can tell you that Bull at the Gate will not disappoint! Alex ‘Bull’ McKinley is a businessman first and foremost. Dee Ashman is trying to protect something known as the Fairy Gate, which many believe has afforded the village of Bower Magna a mystical protection over the years. Alex is ruled by his head and business; his plans to develop a large

Bull at the Gate touches the heart, especially for those who know that love is magic and creates its own “other-worldness”, setting it apart from this mundane world that seems to strive for money and power on all sides. The hero and heroine, seemingly complete opposites who are incomplete, come together in love to make a many-faceted "one" that sparkles with life, but like a fine-cut gemstone, they had to go through lots of grinding a

Bull at the Gate is a warm contemporary read full of romance, passion and magic!
Alexander "Bull" McKinley is a corporate shark and ruthless when it comes to business. However, this young and attractive capitalist will have a hard time persuading the villagers of Bower Magna to give up their inheritance, The Fairy Gate. The Fairy Gate is the oldest part of the village and it's very significant for the locals. There is an interesting story behind it, according to which the Gate was built by Fairie

Dee is a woman who is standing up for what she believes in. Currently, that is trying to get developers to leave a legendary Fairy Gate where it is. The gate is important to the people in her village, including her grandmother.

Alexander is the one trying to convince the villagers. They're not budging. They want to leave the Fairy Gate. I'm not fond of Alex for most of the book. He's one of those money hungry people that doesn't care about what others feel about landmarks. He just acts businessli

Yet again, Ms Jones has written a beautiful romance full of conflict, suspense and of course a sexy Alpha hero any woman would find hard to resist. Alex is a hard hearted, cold businessman on the outside, inside he has a soul as soft at the moonlight, and it takes Dee, a woman equally tough and determined not to allow him to bulldoze his way into her village and destroy its magical heritage, to melt his heart when secrets are unearthed about her past. I read this in one sitting and loved every ...more

I found this story highly enjoyable. The author’s voice matches the village of Bower Magna and the old world charm of this contemporary novel held my interest from start to finish. And I loved the Fairy Gate. It’s the perfect focal point for Alex and Dee to fight over, and it keeps its secrets well. The relationship between Alex and Dee is delightfully adversarial and the perfect foil to an attraction neither can matter how hard they try. I enjoyed reading this very much.
