***I would like to thank Chelsea Fine and her publisher Karen Gray for providing a review copy in exchange for a honest review.***

Ever since I heard about Anew, I couldn’t wait to dig into it. I was drawn to the three things that everyone falls for when reading an engaging and fresh paranormal YA book - the mystery, the exquisitely developed characters and the romance - and they definitely did not disappoint! It had a very unique twist to the paranormal aspect, which is never a bad thing, so I...more

When i read finished reading this book, all that came to mind was "OHMIGODOHMIGOD" I seriously was dying to get my hands on the next one. I loved it so much i had to tell someone about it so i woke up my cousin and told here about the whole novel. Seriously. The forbidden romance, and the love triangle, the crazy, witty bestfriend, and the boy, in my book all equal to a great novel! So if you enjoy romantic mysterious books, go buy this one! XOXO

What an awesome story! It was so beautiful, kind of a beautiful sad. The characters are in pain, but you still love it all the same. The originality of the story line hooked me from the very beginning and kept me up well past midnight!

I hardly ever believe in love triangles, not many authors can pull it off. It’s always painfully obvious who the leading lady should be with. But this one was different. I can see how Scarlet might be confused about how she feels. One brother loves her utterly and...more

OMG!I cannot believe it. I finally found a YA book that is not stupid, with a weak plot, and doesn't have a meek, idiotic heroine and a stupid love triangle. Plus its premises are really original. I usually loath love triangles that involve brothers but the one in Anew works wonderfully. In a way it reminded me a bit of the love triangle in Infernal Devices.

Dark, cute, heartbreaking and hot hot hot immortals! I want more!

I EFFIN LOVED THIS BOOK! I was kind of avoiding books about souls reincarnation thingo these days, not many authors can pull this off. But this book was actually quite a pleasant surprise! A romance that will pull at your heartstrings. Chelsea Fine did an amazing job weaving a beautiful (but tinged with sadness) story about a mysteri...more

Scarlet Jacobs doesn't remember anything of her life before she appeared alone in the woods two years ago. The only thing her amnesiac mind sees clearly is a design of a mysterious symbol. After so long without any more glimpses of her past Scarlet is about ready to give up. And then she meets the Archer brothers. Two Greek-god-like boys that seem to strike a cord deep within her, if only she knew why. Scarlet's life will be turned upside down with the revelation of a terrible curse cast on her....more

So somehow I must of deleted this off my read shelf/and my review. So not cool! It's been awhile since I read this, but I totally remember loving it.I love this series so much. It's funny, heartbreaking, hopeful, and awesome.I love all the characters in this series!(Nate probably being my favorite!)
It has a love triangle, but not like those annoying ones that leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth. It involves immortality and a big curse that has followed them for over five-hundred years, one Archer...more

What an amazing book! I started reading this a couple of nights ago when I was a bit loopy from flu meds, so I wasn't really feeling it. I woke up refreshed at four in the morning and decided to pick it up again because I had about ten minutes to spare. Well, la di da. I ended up buying a copy of it for my Kindle so I could read while hubs was on the wheels. So yes, indeed, I have a paperback and a Kindle copy of this book. I just didn't want to stop reading.

Meh. I give this one a 2,5 stars rating. It's really not a bad book : I enjoyed the writing and (some) of the characters (namely Heather and Tristan, the latter being the main reason I kept reading, I thought that Gabriel, the main "love interest" was boring) but I felt like nothing of real significance happened. Seriously, there was little action, the big reveal took forever to unravel and that REALLY frustrated me. Scarlett started off as a strong character but started annoying me once she lea...more

I have to admit I absolutely LOVED this book! I'm a huge fan of the supernatural and having not one but two hott twin boys who happen to be immortal, HEAVEN! I read this book once before, but got so involved in reading so many others with my friend I stopped blogging and writing what I thought and felt on the books! So to get back to that I decided Anew should be the first one considering Awry, book 2 in The Archers of Avalon Series, releases tomorrow! SO EXCITED BTW! Anyways back to the book!!

Oh man, I enjoyed this book. I was engrossed the whole time, and each chapter just seemed to get better and better. The writing is phenomenal, the story is original, and Fine’s storytelling is topnotch. And I cannot forget about the cliffhanger! At first, I thought that my e-book was incomplete, but when I found out that was the end, I was partially stupefied and partially enraged. Why of all places did she have to end the book THERE??

I loved this book! What a great and fun story. The writing is sweet, fun and flirty. You get caught up instantly in Scarlet's life and the secrets of her past and why she has amnesia. You are instantly hooked!

There are several different characters that keep you completely entertained. You've got Gabriel and Tristan who are hot as haites and different from night and day and a best friend named Heather that keeps you laughing. I myself am I complete Tristan fan!!

WHAT'S WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER? OMFGGGGGG

First off, I want to let you know that this is incredibly original and it makes you REALLY want to know what it's all about. It might drive you nuts and make you impatient about it, but it's there. You really want to know what all the secrets are and who she really is.

However unique, it does remind me a bit of Fallen by Lauren Kate. With that one concept that's in the story.. (you'll see).

Definitely an interesting read! Didn't think I'd be finishing it in o...more

This book wasn't absolutely terrible (obviously, all you have to do is look at the average rating).

But this book just wasn't for me.
I had trouble following along with the book.
The way it was written made it difficult for me to tell whose viewpoint I was on and that also made the book kinda of...well... boring to me.

The other thing I would like to bring up is... the plot.
The plot reminded me of Fallen by Lauren Kate which is a book that i'm not a big fan of.

All this being said, I did not like the...more

Of the digital YA romance/paranormal I've come across recently...Anew is the one with the most professional writing. Loved the snappy, sarcastic exchanges between the two Archer brothers who both hide secrets about high school student Scarlet's life. Love the sassy character and dialogue of BFF Heather. Scarlet herself is neither annoyingly weak or unbelievably tough. She comes across rather normal, despite her seeming lack of self knowledge and lack of guilt about her feelings for brother Trist...more

True rating: 3.5 Stars.

Another brother love triangle? Really? That's sick. But at least it was a strange triangle. It just annoys me that all these stupid female protagonists have no problem destroying family ties. It's disgusting.

Although this book was cheesy and extremely immature, the plot was really good. The subplots could use a little work, but they weren't half bad either.

This trilogy was pretty amazing. There wasn't a ton of fast-moving-action but enough to keep it exciting (more of it in the third book). It was more about the character's emotions and inner workings, how they are dealing with the situations they're handed. It is also about personal sacrifice for those you love and keeping them safe, no matter what the cost. It's about discovering what you want in life, not always accepting a future that seems chosen for you. It's about love, love, love, with ton...more

Anew (The Archers of Avalon #1) by Chelsea Fine was an unexpected great read. After reading the summary for the book, I thought it would be just another one of those books where some dumb girl can’t make up her mind between two hot guys. Oh, how wrong I was. Anew is such a tragic story. You have Gabriel who was engaged to Scarlet (in the 1500’s) and an ex- girlfriend of Gabriel’s, who is pissed they are engaged. So the ex decides to curse an arrow and shoot Scarlet in the heart. However, after...more

Oh. My. God.

Anew might be one of the most engrossing books I've ever read. I mean, seriously, you can't go wrong with hot twins and immortality. This book kept me up all night reading, and now my neck really hurts, but it was worth it. So, totally, worth it.

First off, let me just say that I'm really glad that I started reading this series after all of the books came out already. After that ending, I can' t even imagine waiting a whole year before being able to continue. I would literally go out...more

I don't really know what to think about this one. The idea reminded me of Fallen by Lauren Kate so it was hard for me to not make comparisons. So I'm not sure. I really loved Tristan, he was perfect. I hated Heather. Her character was so unbelievable and I found myself inwardly rolling my eyes every time she "spoke." Gabriel was so boring and all the head kisses made me want to shoot myself. So cliche and just plain annoying. And then we have Laura. Her description really anno...more

So some friends of mine have been jabbering up a storm about the recently released Avow by Chelsea Fine, which is the last book in Fine’s Archer of Avalon series. I took a gander at the synopsis of the first book, Anew, and figured that looks pretty unique and decided to give it a go! A few clicks later on Amazon and voila! There it was!

Scarlet woke up two years ago in a forest outside Avalon, Georgia, with no memory of anything but her name and a symbol that she repeatedly draws on her shoes, paper and even herself (personal pet peeve, I hate it when characters doodle on themselves; especially like she did later in the book). MacKenzie lucks out and her custody is awarded to Laura, a young, very successful business woman, who give MacKenzie everything she could need or want. She’s also got a fashion obsessed best friend named...more

Normally I don't do reviews. I don't like influencing other people's opinions on books. Because books--as I see it--are all about the reader's personal perspective and taste. But I had to share my opinion on Anew, because it was refreshing, intriguing, and had me clutching my kindle to my chest because of the story unfolding before my eyes.

Now onto Anew. When I read the premise, I cringed. Love triangle. I hate love triangles. Most of the time, it's just a push and pull between the three charact...more
