Short collection of essays from various sources, some from editors of Runner's World magazine, others were siblings, other athletes, etc . Excellent overall picture of this incredible woman and what she gave to the running and track and field community. Her influence across Norway is also amazing. Wish I were younger so I could investigate further and perhaps run!
Ok. I will never be like Grete Waitz. However, this is a solid book if you're training for a marathon and want a little inspiration. She's pretty amazing and this book has nuggets of gold for anyone who wants to know what it's like to run that fast.
