As Dead As It Gets (Bad Girls Don't Die #3)
But normal people don't see decaying bodies haunting photographs. Normal people don't have to deal with regular intrusions from Lydia's angry ghost, sometimes escalating to terrifying attacks.
At first, it seems that Lydia wants reveng...more
Overall, i loved the book. Its plot, how it unfolds, and everything else about it!
Alexis has not changed a bit for me. Sometimes, i feel like stabbing her for her behavior but then she Kicks-butt in the next chapter and i fall in love with her all over again. Kasey, on the other hand, feels like a background character. Which is good. She already had enough spotlight in books 1&2.
Lydia, is the bigge...more
This is by far the best book of the 3! The ghosts are back, and much scarier in this one. Because of incidents from the end of the second book, Alexis can actually see ghosts when she takes pictures with her camera, or in pictures already taken and on TV. Lydia is the only ghost that Alexis can actually see without the camera and even talk to, because of their connection from before. The description of a ghost nearer to the...more
Boy was I wrong.
While the other books all had a slight hint of predictability in them, this one had so many twists and turns that at one point, I looked like this:
Every time I thought I had it figured out, the tables were turned on me. And I love me some turning tables :P
The more pages in you are, the better the book gets...more
If this is the end of the trilogy, then I know I'm going to miss it. I'll miss Lexi. I'll miss Carter. I'll miss Megan. I'll miss Kasey. I'll miss Lydia.
Katie has grown so much through the three books.
The first was normal, the second was incredible and this one was UNFORGETTABLE!
Here is a quote that gives me chills and reveals how far Lexi has grown:
"I've been bad.
I've been good.
Weak and strong.
Brave and afraid." (page 441)
I felt like this book finally hit some comedic high notes in the series and the characters became more real as opposed to what felt like holding back in the first two books. I understand that this publisher is owned by Disney, and it really showed in the first two books as it seemed like the characters' responses and emotions were deliberately made to be PG-rated.
While I don't think that swearing always denotes realism...more
As Dead as it Gets Book Review
In my book, As Dead as it Gets by Katie Alender, all Alexis Warren wants is a normal life, but she has special eyes that let her see ghosts, so, with the help of her eyes, she tries to stop
a poltergeist called Laina from killing her and many other people.
Alexis Warren was one of the ones who watched Lydia Small come to her death. Everyone thinks that Alexis was the one who killed her, but that statement is completely false. “I didn’t kill...more
One of the best book I've ever read. One of my favorite book now. It just sad that this is the last book.
Okay. This is only a quick review of this book. I didn't expect that Alexis and Jared will be together. I thought she and carter will be together again after the incident. But i was wrong. He moved on with Zoe. But all i know is he still love Alexis and Lexi still love Carter. Just too complicated to be together again because of Zoe and Jared. And now we know how complicated her...more
With this newest tale, we are right back with the ‘girls’ who - once upon a time - decided to use a bit of magic and power in order to become part of the ‘in’ crowd. Alexis is the one who readers are focused on, as she tries to deal with the fact that she witnessed Lydia Small’s death at the hands of some truly supernatural powers. Although most people believe that Alexis was actua...more

Sob sob omg this book is finished already??? I love the whole entire series I loved the ending and cried a few too.
Alexis = this girl I will be missing her soo much, I always love how fierce she is and IMF lad in this book we can see her vulnerable side. I love the relationship with Lydia I'm this book, the conversation touched me alot. And she is finally back with carter yes!!!
Jared = this guy I was always shady with him and turns out I am right, I liked his soft words with A...more
I love this series so friggin' much.
It may not top my list of most favorite YA ghost series of all time, but it's pretty damn close. These books were so easy to devour, and I didn't waste any time in reading them all, even if I've been a little lazy and slow on my reading. The books in this series just have that "I'll-pull-you-in-and-won't-let-go" feel, so I just can't help but read more and more.
This book starts off quite some...more
If you've read my reviews on the first two books in this series, you will know my love affair with the Bad Girls Don't Die series. Katie Alender has fast become one of my top three favourite authors. I loved As Dead As It Gets as much as the first two which is saying something as usually most sequels fail to get my love.
Alexis is back in the next installment of Bad Girls Don't Die. This time girls...more
Alexis' character was pretty strong, I liked her more in this book than I did in the last one. The other characters were okay, I thought Jered was pretty strong but the others didn't stand out much to me. I still don't like C...more
Author- Katie Alander
Lexile- didn't say
Star Rating- 4/5
Paragraph #1- I loved it a lot. I loved reading about what happened to Kasey and Alexis's family and their lives. I loved hearing bout Alexis's boyfriend Jared, but I also loved hearing about when Alexis pushed Jared off a cliff. It was very interesting. I loved it. But before you read this book, you should read the first one "Bad Girls Don't Die" and the second "From Bad to Cursed". You should read the books.
I was kind of worried to start this book. Let's just say, the second book wasn't that good (second book in a series curse), and though I looked forward to this book, I was hesistant.
But I am glad I bought the book and read it. It was fantastic.
Lydia (our lovely ghost) was wonderful, so glad it turned out (view spoiler)[ she wasn't the cause of anything. (hide spoiler)]
Jared was just plain creepy and obsessive. And (view spoiler)[controlling/calling a poltergeist *shi...more
In the fiction novel As Dead as it Gets, Katie Alender, the author, depicts the troubles of a girl named Alexis. Alexis is still scarred from the Sunshine Club she joined to protect her sister. For example, she can now see ghosts in photographs. Alexis also has regular encounters with Lydia Small’s ghost that sometimes transform into dangerous attacks. As she investigates why Lydia’s ghost is so set on her, she discovers that some of her classmates from school are being hurt too. Determined not...more
Well, the truth is I'm just hoping this series would end. I mean, the first book was fine on its own. There was no need to get the second and third books.
Creepy cover, right? I know it. The second book was even creepier. All theses creepy covers in this series. *Cold Shivering* *Ghost looking over your shoulder*
In my opinion, the main character has gone officially cuckoo. She is CRAZY! Yet she isn't. Too many of the secondary characters, she is. To us readers, s...more
Now that I said there are spoilers you are going to read aren't you? Don't it wil ruin the book. I guess I can't stop you. Oh well.
I seriously doubted that this sequel would please me as much as the second sequel did. I was enticed by Aralt and his story.
After Lydia's death in the second book I thought that in no way would she a)make a comeback b)be a "good" ghost. She was still Lydia but there was something beautiful about her. She was snarky, but giving. She wanted to hel...more
