I've finally read the Bible. It took me a couple years, but it was well worth it. I understand my faith better. I can defend my faith better. And I now understand where some denominations get ideas for things like purgatory, baptism for the dead, and millennialism. I also realize that even after reading the entire Bible I know so little. This is not a book that is read once and then put away. One must continually return to the Bible and dig deeper into The Word.

Excellent translation of the Bible. The version I have also has the Apocrypha. I prefer this edition to the King James Version. I find this translation to be more faithful and literal to the original. The only thing I do not like is how thin the pages are. While it is purposefully designed that way, I just find it to be annoying and makes navigation a little more inconvenient. However, that is my only complaint.

Lovely because it was the BIBLE, of course, but I much prefer both the King James Version and the New International Version.
