Este livro pretende fazer um prognóstico do futuro do nosso mundo com base nos dados e tendências de hoje e do passado recente.

O livro divide-se em quatro partes:
- Limites
- Obstáculos
- Oportunidades
- Riscos

Em cada parte, são lançados alguns cenários futuros que o autor acha provável que se concretizem, caso os dados de hoje não se alterem. Fala da China e do seu limite, da União Europeia, o novo colonialismo, imigração, capitalismo/socialismo, etc.

O leque de temas parece-me bastante interessant

Daniel Altman is an American-born author, journalist and economist. His
latest book, Connected: 24 Hours in the Global Economy, was published
in May 2007 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. He is also the author of Neoconomy:
George Bush's Revolutionary Gamble With America's Future, which was
published by PublicAffairs in 2004.
