I’m most comfortable reading the Bible in the NIV and NLT versions, but love switching to other translations every now and then. A familiar verse worded differently can have a fresh impact and reveal something new to tired eyes.

Okay, it's not that I've actually read the whole thing, I just want to move it of my "currently reading" list so it doesn't stay there forever.
I am enamored of the Common English Bible. I love it especially because I admire the way the Psalms are rendered. That's sort of my test case for all translations and paraphrases.
