South Beach is book four in the Hot in the City series and a quick little story about Holly, the receptionist we first met in Sin City where she worked for Adrianna, INC. Back then Holly was into every kind of sex imaginable, and now in her book we find out why.
It seems like a lifetime ago that Holly spent a very romantic, very sexy summer with Trey Kennedy. When summer ended and it was time to go back to their lives away from South Beach, they promised to stay in touch and to see each other as
Lacey Alexander writes extremely hot books, and this is no exception, so I have no complaints there. What irritated me is that the sex eclipsed the plot.

So going in, we have the heroine who is looking to take revenge on the hero, who dumped her by never contacting her after they agree to continue a long-distance relationship. However, after just 2 days, they're back in love with each other and she's planning to move across the country to be with him.

Now, I'd have no issue with that pl

My main complaint is how short this really was. Holly should have had a full book. It was no where near as hot and spicy as the other books. The tease at a deep story, only to have it be not even a quarter of what was promised, left my disappointed. A full book (or even half the size of a full book) would have given the ability for more plot, and more hotness.

Hot! My most important requirement. LOL. Not really but it sounds good. Lacey Alexander writes fabulous erotica. One of my favorite is Voyeur. Oh My! If you like erotica and you haven't read Lacey, then you are in for a treat.
It was ok, I think just...ummm, hokey I guess...
Lots of sex for only 56 pages.
This was another nice story in the series that gave us a look at someone not directly linked to the March sisters but who was in Las Vegas with one of them at the same company. The characters as just as well laid out as usual and you will either like them or hate them. The set-up is familiar but at least different enough that you do not feel like you are reading the same book as before with different names, which could happen when things are close like this. The local is another that made me wan ...more

I'm a huge Lacey fan but I didn't love this story. I just didn't connect with it and found my self skimming to see if I could find some good parts, instead of being truly invested in the characters and the story line. I have LOVED every other Lacey book but this one just didn't really do it for me.
Guilty Pleasures
Great short read! I could smell the coconut oil and margaritas =)

At par with the rest of the series. This well written novella is way shorter than the others but the story works fine regardless.
I thought this was a good book but to short....I think Holly's story could have been longer.

Lacey Alexander's books have been called deliciously decadent, unbelievably erotic, exceptionally arousing, blazingly sexual, and downright sinful. In each book, Lacey strives to take her readers on the ultimate erotic adventure and hopes her books will encourage women to embrace their sexual fantasies.

Lacey resides in the Midwest with her husband, and when not penning romantic erotica, she enjoy
