It's hard for me to not give this book three stars, but it certainly made me thinking of some advice I'd heard about writing--there has to be something risked, something to lose; otherwise, it's just boring. Four stars really for writing, grammar, and intelligence, but throughout I often felt like it was a chore. It almost seemed like a memoir of some guy with not a lot to offer and nothing truly interesting happening. Ironic how such a smart writer can, at the same time, produce a piece so ...more
