I read the 9 page teaser you released. Although I am totally a ff girl, I have read everything you have released. This was no different than anything else. I was completely captured. I wanted to keep reading and pouted when I reached the end of the 9 pages. I immediately ordered the book.

I was very pleased to be able to review this book. I met C.L. and her sister a little over a year ago at a JR Ward signing. At that time she was writing at Fan Fiction. Ok, where to start?? I put off reading this book for some reason. Don't know whether I was afraid that I wouldn't like it, and disappoint my facebook friend, CL Parker, or what, but I finally just picked it up and read it. Once I started, though, I had trouble putting it down! I loved it - the feelings between Kerrigan and her grandmother touched something in me. A friend told me about this book and I couldn't find it anywhere in my price range (I'm a cheapskate) She offered to "lend" me the book on my kindle. I read it and I have to say this book is so worth buying!! It is an amazing story. The characters are full of life and each one is so unique and likeable. I fell in love with Dominic. I want to be Gabe's BFF. lol
The world she created is so real and the story is easy to get lost in. I highly recommend it if you like paranormal or romance.

I never thought I'd ever be interested in paranormal romance, but this author has most certainly changed my mind. This most definitely is not a typical paranormal romance. CL Parker has managed to come up with an original concept that's totally believable. You know how they say "Never Judge a Book by its Cover" well sorry to say, but I had actually judged this book by the title. First thing I thought of when I saw "Supernova" was "I really didn't want to read a book about Aliens". I was really dreading it. I read this yesterday, in one sitting, I paused for food.
C.L. you should be proud, the characters are well developed, the story is thought through. Most of you I assume have read the first chapter available on the website, if you are not emotionally attached to Kerrigan by just that, you will be in a few pages more.

I am a girl all about the title and cover. I know. Seems unfair, but I just can't help it. I wasn't really looking forward to reading this book for book club at all. Thank goodness the ladies that run the book club, Readers After Dark, assigned it anyways. I would have missed out on an amazing story.

I really wanted to like this book, I did.
It started off fine, more than fine actually. I was quickly drawn into the book after the first page. I just don't know when it all sort of just fell flat for me.
There was nice quick pace at the beginning, where the author didn't keep you waiting. It was just one thing after another after another. Then about 25% of the way through it all changed. The pace slowed down to a snail pace and a good chunk of the book did very little to add to the sto...more

Great story. I liked characters a lot. Dominic was smoking hot. Though I found my self wondering at times how a 24 year old guy has so much game. I guess I tend to think more of that would come in to his mid thirties. But oh well, its fiction. And Kerrigan was good, but I didn't love her all the time. It's absolutely out of this world. The author, besides being a wonderful human being, is one of the most talented writters I have ever had the plesure to read.

Honestly I wanted to love this book...It had so much potential but it ended up being a disappointment. The story is about Kerrigan who is a Guardian of Light or whatever that means. The author doesn't go into details on exactly what Kerrigan can do which made the book that much worse. The book kept dragging for me with the constant make out sessions between Dominic and Kerrigan- it's like fu*k do it already and let's get on with the story. Supernova is a fun mix of genres; paranormal, romance, action, adventure, and comedy! I love a book and an author that doesn't take itself too seriously. The storyline flows rather well, it's not an incredibly unique plot, but it does have a couple twists to keep the reader guessing.

It's not very often that I read a book that will make me laugh, cry, and make me mad all at the same time but this one sure did. The characters are very easy to like with the exception of a few. Gabe is hilarious, Dominic is hot as heck! What more could you ask for? I read this book in one day and when it was over I was really disappointed because I was just THAT into the story. What on earth could I say that would accurately describe the awesomeness of this book? Not only was it beautifully written, but I became incredibly attached to the main characters. I cared about them, and that's when you know you have a good book on your hands.
Gabe was amazing, as always. I loved his comedy throughout the book. It helped break up some of the seriousness.

Supernova is paranormal-esque book that ISN'T a young adult book (yay!!!).

One note: let me say that I only had one issue with this book. That is the language. There are some bad language and some sexual words that I did not care for.
Now let me say that I LOVE C. L. Parker's book covers. The eyes had me. I know that sounds corny, but seriously they did.
