"I wasn't going to kiss you, silly girl. I was going to ravish you."

Oh...Dominic..you sure as hell can ravish me!!! Haha!
This was a great read. I really liked Kerrigan. While finding out crazy new stuff about herself, she didn't freak out or cower and give up. Dominic was cute insanely hot. Plays guitar, always brooding, drives a 1970 Barracuda, and has a dark secret.
Oh, and I loved Gabe, he kept me cracking up and has GOT to be the ultimate diva.

I absolutely adored this story! I felt like I was right there, next to Kerrigan, living through her vicariously. Cannot wait for the next book in rhe saga!

Read this for the third time. . . Loved it all over again. I just adore Dominic and Kerrigan. Sigh.

I read the 9 page teaser you released. Although I am totally a ff girl, I have read everything you have released. This was no different than anything else. I was completely captured. I wanted to keep reading and pouted when I reached the end of the 9 pages. I immediately ordered the book.

Giggled at the appearance of Gabe and those memorizing Green eyes.....swoon.!!

Cannot wait to get the rest in a few weeks !

UPDATE - FINISHED: I promised I would read this while on vacation and that is exactly wh...more

I was very pleased to be able to review this book. I met C.L. and her sister a little over a year ago at a JR Ward signing. At that time she was writing at Fan Fiction. As we stood in line her sister beamed with pride and proclaimed that one day...her sister would have a book of her own. True to her words, next JR Ward signing I see her and yell "Hey! Remember me?" She then says "Yes" and proceeds to announce her new book. That's when I tell her about my book blog and hear you have the making of...more

OH.MY.GOD !!!! Gatita has most absolutely and indefinitely got my tongue on this one ! This is HOTNESS personified !!
Supernova is the story of Kerrigan , a girl born as the ' Guardian of light ' . Now you must be thinking , oh a guardian of light born to
eradicate darkness and all that jazz .. Well well let me tell you Supernova and Kerrigan's power has nothing to do with the kind of light you are assuming it to be .This ' light ' refers to a persons free will or willingness . I know its too muc...more

Ok, where to start?? I put off reading this book for some reason. Don't know whether I was afraid that I wouldn't like it, and disappoint my facebook friend, CL Parker, or what, but I finally just picked it up and read it. Once I started, though, I had trouble putting it down! I loved it - the feelings between Kerrigan and her grandmother touched something in me. Both of my grandmothers are gone, but I was closer to one of them, and this book reminded of that time when we were close. The love be...more

Our Review [by Michelle L. Olson – LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha]:
Supernova is a beautifully woven tapestry of storytelling, with past, present, and future threads overlapping wonderfully.

The characters, both main and supporting, are easy to attune to, making it virtually impossible not to love or hate them as C.L intended.

Kerrigan is a strong female lead who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to do whatever it takes to obtain it. She’s thrown in a world of craziness after a devastating los...more

A friend told me about this book and I couldn't find it anywhere in my price range (I'm a cheapskate) She offered to "lend" me the book on my kindle. I read it and I have to say this book is so worth buying!! It is an amazing story. The characters are full of life and each one is so unique and likeable. I fell in love with Dominic. I want to be Gabe's BFF. lol
The world she created is so real and the story is easy to get lost in. I highly recommend it if you like paranormal or romance.

I never thought I'd ever be interested in paranormal romance, but this author has most certainly changed my mind. This most definitely is not a typical paranormal romance. CL Parker has managed to come up with an original concept that's totally believable. Guardians of the Light - persons placed here with the supernatural power to protect our right to choose our own paths in life.

Kerrigan Cruz and Dominic Grayson share a love that is palpable and oozes off of the pages. And thank God Parker actu...more

She was determined that, together, they would find a way to use her gift to cure his curse.

Such an amazing story. This is my first book from C.L.Parker and I can say this, it will not be my last.
Where should I start? From the very beginning I was pulled into this fascinating world of ghost, witches and gay best friends lol. The chemistry between the main characters were HOT. Dominic Grayson you sexy frictional character you!! ahhh love how protective he was with Kerrigan, even from the very beg...more

Warning: This book contains some language and adult situations that are not appropriate for young readers.

There.... Now that that is taken care of, let me say, despite being a little out of my comfort zone with some of the situations, I really enjoyed this book! As a matter of fact, I am DYING to start the next one in this series! It was killing me so much that I , because my hubby was on the laptop, hand wrote my review first so that I could get started on the next one. Yes, I know I'm wired a...more

You know how they say "Never Judge a Book by its Cover" well sorry to say, but I had actually judged this book by the title. First thing I thought of when I saw "Supernova" was "I really didn't want to read a book about Aliens". I was really dreading it. After actually reading, I felt completely insane for not picking it up sooner. I was hooked from beginning to end. This is the kind of book that you put down for a little while and return to the real world, and get house chores done, but you fin...more

A couple of days ago I reviewed C.L. Parker's book Cataclysm, which is actually the sequel to this book, Supernova. I was a part of the book tour so unfortunately my time ran out and I was unable to put up the review for Supernova up first. But I didn't want to just not review it, so here is the review, a few days late.

Ok, take this as your gush-alert because I loved this book… remember - You. Have. Been. Warned!

Where should I even start? The characters? Sure thing! Let me start with the character that gets the award for being so damn funny that I laughed out loud for much of this novel. If you’ve read Supernova you know that I am talking about Gabe. Talk about a hilarious, diva character. Gabe added some welcome comic relief and a few “I cannot believe he said that” gasps. Parker did a fabulous job of creatin...more

I read this yesterday, in one sitting, I paused for food.

C.L. you should be proud, the characters are well developed, the story is thought through. Most of you I assume have read the first chapter available on the website, if you are not emotionally attached to Kerrigan by just that, you will be in a few pages more.

The introduction of Dominic was visually very enjoyable yes, but his first own paragraph had you gripped and wanting to read his life story.

The secondary characters have not been put...more

I am a girl all about the title and cover. I know. Seems unfair, but I just can't help it. I wasn't really looking forward to reading this book for book club at all. Thank goodness the ladies that run the book club, Readers After Dark, assigned it anyways. I would have missed out on an amazing story.

I started reading the book yesterday and finished it this morning. It has just enough magic, supernatural allure. Plus, it has a romanctic side as well. All the combinations that make a great book in...more

I really wanted to like this book, I did.

It started off fine, more than fine actually. I was quickly drawn into the book after the first page. I just don't know when it all sort of just fell flat for me.

There was nice quick pace at the beginning, where the author didn't keep you waiting. It was just one thing after another after another. Then about 25% of the way through it all changed. The pace slowed down to a snail pace and a good chunk of the book did very little to add to the sto...more

Great story. I liked characters a lot. Dominic was smoking hot. Though I found my self wondering at times how a 24 year old guy has so much game. I guess I tend to think more of that would come in to his mid thirties. But oh well, its fiction. And Kerrigan was good, but I didn't love her all the time. Gabe was awesome and kept the smiles coming. Half the time he would pop off with this crazy remark, and I'd think "oh, no, he didn't ..." He's funny. period. He reminds me sooooo much of Lafayette...more

Supernova is a fantastic read with a adult theme. I really enjoyed the read and laughed many times.

Supernova is about Kerrigan Cruz who has a supernatural talent which she hasn't found out about yet. When her grandmother passes away unexpectedly, Kerrigan is left with everything her Grammy had, along with the handsome unknown house guest who her grandmother was helping, named Dominic Grayson. Dominic is handsome, tough stranger who Kerrigan feels connected with as soon as she meets him.

I'm almost out of words to describe this book.
It's absolutely out of this world. The author, besides being a wonderful human being, is one of the most talented writters I have ever had the plesure to read.
Her story is full of everything you'll ever look in a book. It has romance, humor, suspence, accion, a little bit of drama, it's emotional, and when you finish it, lefts you wanting more and anxious for the next book.
You'll never feel the characters are incomplete or not real. You'll believe th...more

I had the pleasure of reading the first chapter of Supernova before I was sent the entire book and I absolutely loved that we were able to jump into the action immediately. The story begins with Kerrigan having a dream of herself as a young child, watching her Grammie, Availia, be attacked by vicious ravens. It's shown here that Kerrigan has some sort of ability linked to the Light and no further elaboration about this is made. The cryptic and eeri...more

Honestly I wanted to love this book...It had so much potential but it ended up being a disappointment. The story is about Kerrigan who is a Guardian of Light or whatever that means. The author doesn't go into details on exactly what Kerrigan can do which made the book that much worse. The book kept dragging for me with the constant make out sessions between Dominic and Kerrigan- it's like fu*k do it already and let's get on with the story. Kerrigan's friend Gabe was such a cliche with the whole...more

Supernova is a fun mix of genres; paranormal, romance, action, adventure, and comedy! I love a book and an author that doesn't take itself too seriously. The storyline flows rather well, it's not an incredibly unique plot, but it does have a couple twists to keep the reader guessing.

I think the strongest part of this novel is the characters. C.L. Parker does a wonderful job in fleshing them out and making them feel real. Some of my favorite scenes were when all the friends were just goofing arou...more

It's not very often that I read a book that will make me laugh, cry, and make me mad all at the same time but this one sure did. The characters are very easy to like with the exception of a few. Gabe is hilarious, Dominic is hot as heck! What more could you ask for? I read this book in one day and when it was over I was really disappointed because I was just THAT into the story. There is some bad language so if you aren't a fan of books like that....than this might not be for you. Honestly thoug...more

ya know, i left an Amazon review and i would sure hate for CL to get a big head and all, but i LOVED this book. i got the ebook version but i wanted to read it while relaxing in a bubble bath (one of my few luxuries with five boys! that is if you count MY "gabe" KELLY, whom we've always called by his middle name JOSHUA but was destined from birth to BE kelly LOL). Moving right along, ahem, i decided to print out just a few of chapters to read in the tub. but when i was done with them, i still ha...more

This debut book was a breath of fresh air--no vamps, no weres, no witches...well...maybe some of you may see similarities and think this is about black magic, but that really isn’t what the story is about.

Kerrigan Cruz, only daughter to Hudson and Priscilla, has a disturbing dream the night that her Grammy Availia dies. It is also the eve of her twenty-fourth birthday and her life is about to change forever. Tired of living under the controlling thumb of her military father, and her extremely n...more

What on earth could I say that would accurately describe the awesomeness of this book? Not only was it beautifully written, but I became incredibly attached to the main characters. I cared about them, and that's when you know you have a good book on your hands.

Gabe was amazing, as always. I loved his comedy throughout the book. It helped break up some of the seriousness.

This book was fantasic, well written, belivable, and all sorts of exciting. If you haven't read this yet, I encourage you to...more

There is a reason why 89% of people rated this book as amazing and 95% overall said they liked the book!

Supernova is paranormal-esque book that ISN'T a young adult book (yay!!!).

You got a hilariously crude gay BFF (seriously, the shit that comes out of his mouth is not for the faint hearted - you've been warned)to non-damsel in distress Kerrigan who falls in love with Dominic (her soul mate) that sounds like the ideal male specimen (Yum).

The sexual tension between Kerrigan and Dominic is intens...more

My Review:
One note: let me say that I only had one issue with this book. That is the language. There are some bad language and some sexual words that I did not care for.

Now let me say that I LOVE C. L. Parker's book covers. The eyes had me. I know that sounds corny, but seriously they did.

With that being said, WOW... talk about getting into a book this one had me going in all kinds of different ways. One being with in the paranormal, it kept me on the edge wanting to know more. Kerrigan Cruz i...more

C. L. Parker is a romance author who writes stories that sizzle. She’s a small-town girl with big-city dreams and enough tenacity to see them come to fruition. Having been the outgoing sort for all her life—which translates to “she just wouldn’t shut the hell up”—it’s no wonder Parker eventually turned to writing as a way to let her voice, and those of the people living inside her head, be heard....more
