Looking for a wonderful holiday romance filled with charming characters and a sense of history, Christmas in Bayeux is a perfect fit! I loved how Aiden came to see someone he used to love...Noel was a foreign exchange student in his home. After the death of his parents, he seeks her out to heal his soul.

The town of Bayeux is filled with history as the sight in France where the troops came ashore during WWII. The setting provides meaning to the story of Aiden's healing after the death of his par

One interesting aspect of "Christmas in Bayeux" is its authentic descriptions of locations in France close to Omaha Beach where the protagonist Aiden’s grandfather fought in World War II. Although the story touches some historical facts, romance is its basic genre.

It is 2010 and nine years after Aiden and Noel met in US when Noel stayed with Aiden’s family as an exchange student. They were both sixteen then. Although they fell in love, they hid their feelings from each other. Aiden is an Iraq W

I enjoyed reading Stephanie Burkhart’s "Christmas in Bayeux", an international contemporary romance. Reading about France’s culture and people was wonderful. Burkhart has a gift for giving authentic descriptions so that the reader feels the excitement and romance of the setting. The French phrases added to the story also make it obvious that the author is familiar with the language.

After a lapse of nine years, the two characters, Aiden Seward and Noel Rousseau, get a chance to see each other ag

Aiden and Noel first felt the spark of attraction between them as innocent teenagers but 9 years later they meet again. Aiden seeks out the French girl he's never forgotten as part of his quest for peace. The loss of his parents and a difficult tour with the US Army in Iraq have left him closed down and searching for a new direction in life. Stephanie Burkhart's descriptions of French life and in particular the battlegrounds of World War II add a rich sense of history and culture to this charmin ...more

CHRISTMAS IN BAYEUX by Stephanie Burkhart.

A sensitive love story of two young hearts meeting again after nine years.

Aiden, coming back from Iraq and trying to cope with his tormented emotions.

Noel, trying to help him deal with his loss and adjust to the future.

Through Ms. Hart words, I experienced struggling with sadness, happiness, joy and watch as love concords all.

A five star. Read and enjoy.
