With Savage Nature, the fifth in the Leopard series, Christine Feehan moves the setting from the Rain Forests of South America to the swamps of the Louisiana Bayou. She stays with her standard “couples are fated to be together” style but the story is interesting in other ways and moves at a fast pace. Beyond the main couple, Feehan’s other standard is to bring in a su...more
The leopard people are not normally my favorite, but my coworker told me to give the series a second chance and I am so glad I did! This book had everything I am looking for in a paranormal- a fun fast paced mystery, well drawn characters...more
What would it take for you to share the beast you keep locked in a cage, to let it out and acknowledge that side of you, let alone embrace it with others willing to do the same? How do you face yourself in...more

Something is wrong in the bayou. Saria keeps coming across dead bodies. Men who are obvious leopard shifter kills. The only leopards Saria knows that shift are her brothers and they don't know she knows. Danger threatens her everywhere from the letter intercepted and pinned to her pirogue to the shifter a...more
Saria Boudreaux is a great heroine - smart, capable and able to hold her own. She's basically raised herself since childhood, and knows the swamp better than anyone else. But lately s...more

Her characters are always fantastic but I really liked Saria, the heroine, in this story. She is tough, confident, honorable and yet vulnerable. The hero i...more

I read Jake and Emma's story first, mainly because it had a storyline that appealed to me, but once I'd read it, I quickly got all the rest of the stories and devoured each and every one in only a week. I enjoyed them that much, I couldn't put...more
Saria family has lived on the Louisiana Bayou for centuries. For her, it’s the only place she feels comfortable. But that comfort is stripped away when her she starts finding dead bodies in the swamp, bodies that look like they’ve been attacked by a leopard. That scares her, because leopards are not native to the swamp and once as a child she had seen her older brothers shape-...more
I originally hadn’t planned to do a review for this book, but Saria made me. Savage Nature is book 5 in Christine Feehan’s Leopard People series. There’s an element of suspense in each book, but the stories are really about the shifters, their lairs and finding their mates. The mates “know” each other once they come in contact, and the world is set up so that the leopards recognize their mates from past lives. The female shifter can either accept...more
The story starts off with girl living in the alligator swamps of Louisianna. Saria has a love for this country and her 5 brothers do not show any interest in her. Both parents are gone. She is a photographer and comfortable looking after herself
She has a secret ....
She once watched her brothers all go out at night and shift into leopards..... when she was only 10 years old..
Now, she is starting to find dead bodies in the swamp and they look like they have had their throats...more
I'm between a 1 and 2 star rating here. This book was BORING. Just plain boring. It wasn't heavy detailed boring like Feehan usually is, just the romance, plot, and, well, book was boring. My mom didn't finish it, but I did cause I didn't have anything else to read. I should have just found a new author half way through, because everything turned out a...more
I was pretty engaged for the first dozen pages, then the author starts switching between character point of views in between paragraphs! At the start of a section, we're seeing things from the priest's point of view (which is the only time in the book that he's even present) and the next thin...more
