Thirteen chapters, each only 2 pages long, contain text and many colorful pictures to introduce young readers to the growth and development of animals. The book begins with the statement, “Some animal babies hatch from eggs laid by their mothers. This book was about how different kinds of animals have different life cycles. This is my favorite book because it's good to read on days that people love. In this book, they teach you about if the animal lays eggs or not and they can do its job right away or not. -by Alexander

This was a very cute and accessible book for the Kindergarten and going-into-first grade crowd. It contained some good information, but it wasn't overwhelming.
