Atmosphere, this book is thick with it. From the very first page it builds until it is such a cloying tension it grips you hard and fast. It's very hard to capture the tone of this work in a brief review, but I can tell you it gave me a very real sense of despair and desolation.

An archangel has waited an eternity for his archess, but this plot is nothing if not ominous and complicated. There is so much pain and hopelessness in this plot, that I was beginning to wonder if they would ever just be...more

this book was as great as the first book, if not more so. the only thing i didn't like too much who how much attention was pointed at the Adarians. There was too much about them and in all the good bits. like as soon as the book good super exciting it would end the persons point of view and turn to someone else. I think i just wanted to read more about Juliette and Gabriel at the start of the book. it also took a while to get into the book there was a lot of nothing at the start of the book and...more

Gabriel has been searching for his Archess, his soul mate, for two thousand years. The problem is that a team of Andarians are also searching for the Archesses, hoping to steal their powerful healing abilities. Samuel Lambent is also determined to track down an Archess, for reasons that he has yet to reveal.

Although Gabriel can flit anywhere in the world that has a door (using the archangels mansion) the group of archangels are based in America. However, Gabriel feels that Scotland is his real...more

Soooo...have I said that I love Heather's Lost Angel series? I haven't? Oh, well let me enlighten you to the wondrous world of the Fallen Angels.

The four archangels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Azrael had fallen from Heaven millenia ago to find their lost archesses. These archesses were made specifically for them from God as a present to his four favorite angels. Jealousy ignited with the creation of these gifts which got the archesses cast and scattered to earth to protect them from the other a...more

I really looked forward to reading Messenger’s Angel by Heather Killough-Walden. I have a thing for the fallen angel trope and this one seemed interesting even while similar to others out there.

Messenger’s Angel is book two in this series. In book one, Uriel finds his archess, so the archangels now know that these archesses really do exist and the remaining archangels are ever hopeful that they, too, may at last find the one woman created especially for them. In this book, Gabriel is featured a...more

Messenger's Angel is the second in the series, entitled The Lost Angels. Two Thousand years ago, The Old Man created four archess's, for his most favoured Archangels, Uriel, Michael, Azrael and Gabriel. The Archess's were their soul mates, their other half that completed them and before they could claim them they were scattered for their protection, they had no choice but follow them, the archess's whom they had never met but would forever love. They would know them when they found them.

Okay, I first want to make this clear - I REALLY like Heather Killough-Walden's books!! With that said, this is the 2nd book in her Lost Angels series. I LOVE the story. The Archangels and their Archesses and all the other supernaturals in between, it's fabulous!! What I do NOT like is all the flipping filler used in these books. Okay, alot of the "filler" is the people thinking, but good Lord! Stop with all the thinking and explaining things over and over again, for crying out loud! I am really...more

L'arcang...more

Zitat:
"Während sie seinen Blick erwiderte, schien sich die Zeit zu verlangsamen. Das Rauschen der Brandung an der Küste glich einer leisen Melodie, Möwen kreischten, der kalte Wind roch nach Salz. In Gabriels Haar sah sie Salzkristalle. Jetzt erschien er ihr wie ein Teil dieses Landes - unerschütterlich, hart, kompromisslos. Und die durchdringenden Augen wirkten sehr alt, von tausend Geschichten erfüllt."

Messenger’s Angel is Gabriel and Juliette’s story and the second book in Heather Killough-Walden’s Lost Angels Series. The first book, Avenger’s Angel, laid the groundwork for this series and it was good, but Messenger’s Angel has me totally hooked and there is no turning back. *sigh*

Gabriel is the loner among his brothers. He’s Scottish and prefers to spend his time there as much as he can. He loves his brothers, but there’s no place like home for him and Scotland is it. Juliette, unlike Ellie...more

Still not totally in love with the angles. I guess its the fact that these Angles feel they are entitled to the women and basically the women have no say in the matter. The men act like neanderthals and then can't understand why (until they are knocked over the head) the woman "destined" to be theirs runs from them. On top of that, the women get one romp in the hay and it's like ok, I'm you're mate despite all the caveman antics and behavior. In my opinion, Azrael has saved these women more then...more

What I appreciate most about the Lost Angel Series are the lack of too many sex scenes. I think with the one it creates a stronger enticement and thrill to it. I also very much enjoyed Juliette's personality. Not that I had a problem with Eleanor's in the first, I just feel Juliette's jelled better. Or maybe her independence made more sense to me. I think that it took a little more effort to get into due to the dialogue constantly reverting to the Scottish accent. I still am not sure how to pro...more

Messenger's Angel is the second in the Lost Angels series. I absolutely loved Avenger's Angel, the first book in the series, I didn't think Ms Killough-Walden could do any better than that. Boy was I wrong! Messenger's Angel is about the Angel Gabriel and his Archess, Juilette. What a story. Not only was it very exciting, getting to know more about the Archangels, but also getting to know their arch enemy's the Adrians.

This book was spellbinding! Gabriel is every woman's fantasy. Juliette is a...more

This second book in this series is as compelling and captivating as the first. This book centers on Gabriel the messenger archangel. His journey to make his destined Archess, Juliette, his.

There is plenty of romance, tense and frustrating situations. There are so many bad guys out there trying to keep Gabriel and Jules apart. I was exhausted worrying about them.

Heather has a talent for delivering a book that will keep you intrigued and not being able to stop reading. I found myself rationalizi...more

I didn't realized that every time I go in the bookstore, I unconsciously try to look for the next book the lost angels series... hah... I was planning to buy 50 shades of grey when I found this book... so I bought it and the other too... :) I knew it that it was Gabe's turn... heheheh... I couldn't let go of this book... Now, I'm waiting for the next one... although it's the same storyline, still it has its uniqueness because of the different challenges and struggles that happened to the main ch...more

I don't know what to say about this book. I liked it more than the previous book, Avanger's Angel, and I enjoyed that one.
Gabriel didn't seem as cave man like as Uriel, but he was still a powerful being who was capable of tenderness and care. Jules was an interesting heroine. I liked that her life was different from Ellie's. I was concerned that this series could end up being repetitive, but that didn't happen.
We learnt more about the Adarians, which was good. Sam popped up as well, but he took...more

This series seems to be getting better as each book comes out. This maybe because the story is set and the pattern is pretty similar but it is far from boring. There are many twists and turns in this book that keep the reader interest and hoping that the archangel and archess find each other and are prepared to sacrifice themselves for their soulmates.

The four favourite angels are as sexy as ever and I hate to admit it, but I felt a loss with the lack of Sam in this book.

Looking forward to more...more

***Contains some spoilers for book 1, Avenger's Angel, which I've attempted to block.***

So today I’m sharing my thoughts on the second book in Heather Killough-Walden’s “Lost Angel” series, Messenger’s Angel. This one focuses on Archangel Gabriel and his archess Juliette – who was actually mentioned a couple of times in book one, Avenger’s Angel. It seems Samael’s network of spies has located Juliette and he is on his way to sweep her...more

My attention was captivated instantly from the first paragraph. Those initial few pages were seriously hot and my kindle felt like it would melt in my hands from the exposure. Samael is up to his old tricks again and temptation is always on the menu when he needs to enlist the help of the archangels. Gabriel was a great character, I am a sucker for an accent myself though his caveman behaviour did not create a wonderful first impression but he did save her life a few times so all was forgiven. Heather Killough-Walden creates an exciting, romantic world based on the Archangels, with two enemies (possibly!), one of which is dark and sexy as hell. I love Heather's books and can't wait for the next one, which by the end of the book you find out which Archangel is next

The Archangel Gabriel (the Scottish eye candy of the series), has been waiting 2000 years for her, his Archess, and just as he finds her so do the enemy, the Adarian and Samael.

The story continues 4 months after Uriel finds E...more

Finished reading Messenger’s Angel today. Heather did an amazing job on some of the highlights of Scotland. The description of the land and the castles and other historic places were so well written I was able to picture it myself.

Gabriel’s search has finally ended. His Archess, Juliette is his perfect match. She’s good, kind, stubborn and strong. She not only is willing to stand up and fight for herself, but she’ll do anything to save the people she cares about.

The Adarians are back in Messeng...more
