Alana ~ The Book Pimp
I received a free eBook from the R2R Program in exchange for a honest review.

Overall I liked book 1 better. Like book one, it is still technically an urban fantasy, but tends to stick primarily to the fantasy part. Once again, Shade is trying to walk the line between human and fae, while searching for her lost fae heritage and figure out her powers. All there characters (for the most part) are the same from book 1, but we get to see deeper into their motivations, their past, and connections that

I had the extreme pleasure and honor of helping edit this book for Alexia Purdy, and let me tell you, if you thought the first book (Ever Shade (A Dark Faerie Tale #1) was Awesome, a real page turner, or even "risked taking your Kindle Fire into the shower with you, then you're going to be in for a treat with this one.

The character's are so well written, the adventures extraordinary, new lands to explore, and so much more.

While editing this I found myself, without realizing it, acting as Shade,

I was so excited to see the continuation of this story. There were no disappointments in here either. The story continues on about Shade’s discoveries of who she is and along the way the details emerge. I love seeing the same characters interact again. I really enjoyed seeing characters come back that I didn’t think would be a part of this story line but are a big part of it. Is Shade going to finally meet her dad or any family that she didn’t know even existed? What will she discover about the ...more

This book was even better than Ever Shade, the first book in the series. As impressed as I was with the first book, this book did not leave me disappointed. Once again, I was drawn in, hanging on every word, until the very end.
The series is creating an addict in me. I feel so disappointed when I reach the end of the story. I want it to never end!
Anyone who buys this book will not be disappointed. If you want to go on a fast-paced journey, one that will leave you breathless with excitement, a bo
Ever Fire the 2nd book in this trilogy will grab you from the very first moment you start reading! It is packed with emotion, suspense that will have you holding your breath in waiting and many surprises you won't see coming! Once i started reading I absolutely couldn't put it down! this is the best book and a must read for all! its worth 10 stars!!!
I loved Shade in this book. She really really grew as a character. She is finally getting some gumption. I can't wait to see where Alexia takes her next. She is absoloutely the star of this one. My favorite fae boyfriend was absent through most of the book which allowed Shade to take front stage. She is learning her powers and becoming less frazzled. This book has no "slow parts". The characters and storyline are already established so Alexia just jumps right in where Ever Shade left off. The li ...more

I have no idea how to do a review so i'll just babble :)
LOVED this book, i could NOT put it down, i am already impatiently waiting for book 3 :)
It caught me from the beginning coz i was still hanging from the end of book 1 (Ever Shade/Interim Blue) ~ i just had to jump right in.
There were lots of surprises with different characters & a few new characters to fall for along the way. I'm not an author or publisher but for me, it read really smoothly - easy to follow & kept me want
**I received this as a Read2Review through one of my groups, so I would like to thank the author and moderators for this opportunity.**

I have not read the first book in this series prior to this R2R even though I tried to get a hold of a copy before starting this one. Would having read book 1 change my opinion of Ever Fire? I doubt it, but I feel that I should preface this review with this bit of information. This review might contain small spoilers.

I gave this book 2 stars, but in actuality I t

This fast-paced sequel to Ever Shade continues the dangerous journey of Shade, the part human part faerie teen.

Alexia Purdy continues to amaze me with the action-packed tale of fantasy that again kept me up nights reading. Having never been a fan of fantasy, I find that I cannot put these books down. The world that Ms Purdy has created is so full of life that it is hard to believe it is fantasy at all when you are reading.

Alexia has again cracked open a new realm of reading for me with this am
I was anxiously waiting for book two in this series and it did not disappoint! I could not put it down, and it was great to see how smoothly Ms.Purdy led us into book two and Shade's blossoming strength and maturity. Can't wait for book three!

I enjoyed this book very much and can't wait for book three! A great great read!!!
Alexia Purdy's Ever Fire picks up after Shade has fulfilled her harrowing tasks in book one. Back in the human world and still blood bound to the slightly softening, but still brooding Dylan, the war in Faerie wages on, good vs evil, and the cold of winter is spreading. The threat to the human world looms ever closer and Shade needs to perform another task in order to help save the world. Have her powers grown enough to prepare her for what lies ahead? Will she learn her true heritage? Will Shad ...more

I hope you’re back pack is still packed… most probably packed and repacked as we continue the quest that Shade must TAKE and CONTINUE!!

Deeper and deeper we climb/travel into the world of Useen. But for Shade at times it’s déjà vu, oh my goodness what will she do? Her “bond” is called back by the Queen of the Teleen.

*** Walking the paths, Shade continues to do, no Dylan…. So Rylan will have to do ***

I refuse to give any spoilers for this book away so this review will probably be a little short. And i should start by saying if you haven't read the first book in the series Ever Shade you should run out and read it before starting book two The first book sets up the main characters very nicely. I love this series and I couldn't wait to get my hands Ever Fire. The story continues shortly after the first book leaves off. I received this book in return for a honest review as part of the R2R for the Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy Fanatics! group on goodreads. This is the continuation of Shades story from the first book Ever Shade. So just a recap from book one Shade has a chance meeting with a Teleen Faery who leads her off to the Seelie Faerie Court where she learns that she is a halfling part faery and part human. However it isn't as it appears and in a attempt on her life she accepts a blood bond from t

Another AMAZING Book By Alexia Purdy! Her books and writing style seems to be getting better and better! This book had me Glued to my seat, I almost finished it in one sitting. I just wished I had Ever Winter to Follow.

Ever Fire is the 2nd Installment to the WONDERFUL Dark Faerie Series.
This book pretty much picks up where Ever Shade left off. Shade's coming into her powers and learning what to do with them. Dylan and Shade are still connected through the blood bond through-out the book. Shad
ooops I just realized I hadnt rated this book I read it a while back thank you to the author for providing me with this book for an honest review and my thoughts - and now its been released ..

Wow - Alexia has topped this new series with this one.. I loved the first book in the series, but this one - I thought was just amazing ... The new characters she has introduced - the world in which she has created, the turmoil - and Shade's choices she must make and of course the storyline = one that will
I received this book from the author to give an honest review.

First let me say this cover is awesome! Now I believe this book was better than the first, it was full of action and a love triangle which if you read the first book you saw it coming! But who will she pick? And will she even pick anyone with everything she has going on in her life. Along with a lot of new twists and turns! One of my questions that I had from the first book got answered in this one to the full extent. The trials that

My review of Ever Fire by Alexia Purdy

Rating 5*****

This book was provided free from the author in exchange for honest literary review.

Shade is a one of a kind female... I mean literally one of a kind. Part changeling and part fey makes for an interesting life to say the least. Dividing her time between Faerie and the modern world she is anxious to learn how to unleash all of the magic that her heritage says she has. Unfortunately, some want her dead before that may ever happen.

This review is based on an e-book version.

An eventful continuation of Author Alexia Purdy’s A Dark Faerie Tale series, which commenced with “Ever Shade” and will continue in “Ever Winter,” “Ever Fire” is a rollicking and rousing tale of the Faerie World. Ms. Purdy is superb at world-building, giving us an entirely new version of the Fae, while still maintaining the separat

I've had this book for a while and always meant to read it immediately after reading Ever Shade but for some reason it didnt work out that way. I really do wish I had been able to read them all back to back, because I just could not step away from Shade's story.

This one is set just a little after Ever Shade, with Dylan living with Shade and her family (being her personal bodyguard) and Shade taking regular lessons in all things Faerie, from learning magic to battle skills. Drawn into yet another
Shade has had enough time to come to terms with who and what she really is. Although her mind still has a hard time accepting the fact that she's part Changeling and a human. Not to mention the fact that she also has Fey blood running through her veins.

The changes she's experienced have helped her realize that she's much different than she was before. Her best friend shares the knowledge of what she went through in Faerie, even though she'll never say a word of it to anyone. Yet it's a secret t

I bought and read Evershade in hope that I could get a chance to read this book as a R2R book. So a big thank you to the author.

I enjoyed the world building in both books and getting to know Shade, watching her grow and mature.

I loved dipping into her world of fey and humans. I have to say that I really hate love triangles, but I do feel that the author portrayed this one more realistic than most and it looks like Shade will choose my favorite--brooding Dylan. I missed him in this story since

Ever Fire by Alexia Purdy is a continuation of the fantastical life of teenage Shade. In this book Shade is sent to Prince Lotinar's castle. He turns out to be an old friend from Shade's past. She has to flee and she finds where her grandmother is. Her grandmother takes Shade in and teaches her how to use her powers. She is captured and taken hostage by the Unseelie court after a very unfortunate series of events. She is then tortured and interrogated for information on her powers. In the end, s ...more

Ever Fire by Alexia Purdy is the 2nd book in the series. I was not disappointed either it kept me spell bound in it's pages as did the first one. I highly applaud Alexia Purdy for exceptional written book. As Shade's powers grow will she learn to control them as the evil tries to find her? Will the bonding between her and Dylan become more? As she makes discoveries about her family secrets that have been hidden from her and when her mom remembers all will it be enough to help her? As shade reali ...more
