I couldn't finish this. Too saccharine.

I read this as a "blind date" book promotion at my library. You pick a book wrapped up in wrapping paper and read it and rate it. I actually laughed out loud when I unwrapped it. It's far from my normal genre. That aside I decided to give it a shot. I figured that a romance book with a faith base wouldn't be to bad because at least it won't have those awkward raunchy parts I feel guilty reading when my kid is in the room. This shouldn't be considered a "faith" based book. It should be considered...more

"Healing Autumn's Heart" by Renee Andrews is a book that I ooh'ed,aww'ed, laughed out loud and cried through a dozen or more tissues.

I found it refreshing to read a story that the hero and heroine didn't allow baggage to totally hold them back from exploring their attraction. Oh there is baggage, without a doubt, but they don't hold it so tight that it is a barrier that needs to be knocked down. At one point one though one of the characters when the baggage got heavy refused to allow anyone to h...more

This story will grasp hold of your heart and emotions. The characters become so real you want to cry, pray, and rejoice with them.
A doctor struggling to deal with the grief of losing his wife will have you wanting to help him. His daughter, Autumn, locked in her own world at the loss of her Mother. Then she spies Hannah, sitting in a window display. The pink breast cancer symbol draws Autumn to Hannah.
Yet in it all God had a plan unfolding. You get two couples finding healing and love.

I received this book through the First Reads program and am glad that I did as it was a great book. It was well written and intriguing, I had trouble putting it down. I got invested in the characters and had to see what was going to happen. I felt that I could relate to the characters and they were developed well enough that as a reader I could see who they were and discern how they became who they were slightly. I most definitely look forward to reading more of Renee's books.

It was good but the religious aspect was a little too much for me. I'm a non-believer and I felt this novel was too much God related and not enough scientific beliefs.

Wonderful story about breast cancer survivors and a non survivor. Part made me want to cry and laugh. Very good book.
Christina
Wonderful book about keeping positive through difficult times and the healing power of God's love.

Renee Andrews spends a lot of time in the gym. No, she isn't working out. Her husband, a former All-American gymnast, co-owns ACE Cheer and Tumbling. She is thankful the talented kids at the gym don't have a problem when she brings her laptop and writes while they sweat. When she isn't writing, she's typically traveling with her husband, bragging about their two sons and new daughter-in-law or spo...more
