For a survey course of Mass Media, this is as the stars indicate "just ok." We have got to move beyond the broad sweeps of color-by-numbers American history. This text does try by providing companion videos and interviews with professionals, but brings nothing new to the topic. In addition, I was shocked to find the text laden with editing errors -- at least one on every page.
