I love alphabet books, and since the Olympics are coming soon, I had to read this one. I learned much about Olympic history from this book. One of the interesting facts I learned was that Anders Haugen thought he came in fourth place in a ski jumping event in 1924. However, 50 years later a scoring error was discovered, so he was awarded a bronze medal at age 83.

As an alphabet book this is so-so but the facts about the Olympics is wonderful.
shorten to read-aloud by just reading the ABC sentences
I enjoyed reading the facts about the Olympics but the actual ABC part of the book was a tad underwhelming.
