There's a new serial killer stalking Los Angeles, and the press is having a field day. His victims are night people. His M.O. is a wooden stake through the heart and a garlic clove in the mouth. Homicide detective Jake Hull isn't at all sure if he should hunt down the murderer and book him, or join him in ridding the city of a plague of vampires.

This one really drags. The characters are all stereotypes moving through a milieu of Los Angeles street life that reads as if it were lifted straight from movies about Los Angeles street life. All of this could be forgiven if it moved quickly and was done with style. However, there was too much uninteresting characterization and hardly any action at all.

The best part of this book was Jake Hull. He was my favorite :P

It was a 'sucking good read'. I loved the suspense. But, I love vampire anything.
