Devoti has a devotee in me!

Corny title, I know, but it is the truth. I plan to look up Lori Devoti and see what else she has and READ IT UP.
The book was good from start to finish and I read it in no time. I put it at the top of my to read pile as soon as I had read the first 10%, in front of books that have been there for months. It was action packed and I liked the go, go, go tempo. It was exactly what I look for in a vampire romance. There was angst, but not too much. There was mystery but not

Just finished rereading this and I had to re think my original rating.

Lindsay arrives in St. Louis with nothing to her name looking for a cousin she has never met who supposedly works at Harry's bar. Harry, the mysterious owner, tells her the cousin, Karin, has quit and may or may not be returning. He then offers her a job and a place to live adjacent to the bar.

What Lindsay doesn't know is that vampires frequent the bar as well as humans and Harry is a Dh

I loved how this book was full of suspense and not to much angst. I loved how we got to see what happens in the past and the present; it gave us the history about what happened. This story was entertaining and fast-paced. I liked the characters but I found Lindsey to be a little naive, which I am not a big fan of. I don't like when heroines act tough and don't follow through but overall I thought it was a really good story.
I enjoyed the story, the mix of the thread from the past and the events in the present worked well, so the story telling was good. The romance worked less well for me and even though it's not her fault, the heroine remains clueless forever. Still it was an entertaining light read, and I tend to enjoy Devoti's stories - her Hellhounds are my favorites of the novella length ones.
This was worth every star it was given it is full of so much thrill and excitement you won't be able to help but scoot closer to the edge of your seat
