A very deep, profound story surrounding war and the effect it has on the soldiers sent to fight it. Russell’s struggle between sanity and insanity is real. As is War’s sadness in finding his lover in such a state and not able to help. The read moved quickly, with a well developed premise and characters. It’s so good to meet up with Lam again, a messenger angel from the previous story of this series. And still smells like Christmas. A fantastic story that should be shared.
I love this series so hard. The rest of them need to show up right now, if not sooner.
I love the mix of immortality with day to day stuff best, like the way Death makes fun of War for liking modern slang so much. It's not something I ever would have thought of if I wrote a similar premise, and it's so much fun :D

I didn't like it as much as book one, still enjoyable.
