Your dad left when you were born, your mom and grandma died in an auto accident and you got split away from your twin sister when you were only three.

In the book “Runaway Twin” by Peg Kehret Sunny Skyland has to go on a highly dangerous adventure to find her twin sister Starr. Sunny has always dreamed of being reunited with her sister. She will stop at nothing to find her.

Ever since Sunny’s dad left when her and her sister were born, her mom and grandma died in an auto accident and her and her

I found this book at a garage sale of my friend's neighborhood. It's one of my favorites to find cheap books at garage sales in America. I like reading children books in English, and I bought it only for 25 cents. I really think I did a good shopping.

The book was good for reading. The main character is a low teenager and an orphan. Her life before meeting her current foster mother was really miserable, and she escaped from her foster houses a lot. Only her sweet memory was to meet her twin siste
I was really disappointed with this book. There was a total disconnect between the time setting of the story and the story itself. Most of the actions of the characters were more in keeping with mid-20th century ways, but this was placed in current times. Let me explain:
1. No adult in right mind these days is going to come upon a teen traveling alone and not report it to child protective services. The bus driver, for goodness sake, would have called it in. The cab driver, would never have let he

Runaway Twin
by: Peg Kehret

"You feel bad for me? You're the kid nobody wants," is one of the quotes in Peg Kehret's "Runaway Twin". This is what someone tells Sunny, the main character. This was a great book! There are many great moments and lessons in this book, and Sunny learns alot when running off without telling Rita, after finding a bag with lots of money.

Sunny lost the location of her twin sister, her best friend, at just age 3. Now she's on a mission to find her long-lost sister, with the

Sunny Skyland is one of the twins who long to reunite with her sister Starr. Finally then she prepares herself and sets of to a journey to find Starr. Sunny encounters different kinds of people and meets a lovable dog- what could go wrong?

I love the courage Sunny can hold and her kindness towards animals (basically a role model-except the running away part)
She's definitely mature for her age and has good KNOWLE

My goodness! I loved this book so much. My friend had recommended it to me and I am so glad she did. I wasn't bored for a second. I almost cried and in the middle of class, I gasped real loud because it was so shocking and exciting. Just as my friend had recommended it for me, I would do the same and definatly recommend this book to almost anyone. It was adenturous, sad, scary, and just truly amazing! I know you would love it if you give it a chance!

This was an easy-read adventure appropriate for both boys and girls. The protagonist is a 13-year-oldish girl who travels accross the US on her own looking for her twin sister. It's full of adventure, and has a good ending that's unexpected but beleiveable.

This book is about a girl named Sunny who is separated from her sister Starr. This story tells the adventure of what Sunny goes through to try to find Starr. This book makes me think of my life in China. Since I was adopted, I don't really know who my biological sister nor mother and father are. This book gives me hope that I will soon find my biological family too.

I found this book at my library and thought it looked good. I started reading it and couldn't put it done. It's about this girl who's a foster kid who was separated from her twin sister when she was three. One day she ran away to find her twin. Her goal is to go to the house she last saw her sister. She traveled around the country walking, taking busses, and riding in taxis. One day the bus stopped for a lunch brake and while she was getting lunch there was a dog outside. She bought the dog a bu ...more

I read the book Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret. In this book Sunny is put into several foster homes but is very unhappy in every one of them. She runs away from them but get caught again and again. Sunny sets off on a journey to find her twin Starr. She goes to a Cafe and finds a dog. She and the dog go together and become good friends. She named him snickers. Sunny has lived in a series of foster homes since her mother and grandmother died when she was three. The current foster home is the best by far, even if Rita is a health food nut. But Sunny still remembers her twin sister, and wonders what became of Starr, and wouldn't it be wonderful to find her and live with her again. When Sunny finds a large duffle of cash, she begins a cross country journey alone to find her long lost sister. I thought this one started a little slow and was wondering if Pe ...more

I didn't expect to like this book. I bought it at Half-Price Books a while back for a dollar because I liked the cover, and I had no regrets. It seemed like one of those books that I would read and end up dragging out for days even though they're small. That was not the case with this book. I just read this book in one sitting when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I am not ashamed. This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and everything else wonderful in such a short amount of time. I enjoyed Runaway Twin. It pulled me in from the beginning. The book starts with her plotting to runaway from her foster home after she unexpectedly finds a sum of money in the park.

The main character is an orphan whose parents died when she was young and she had to be placed in foster care when her cousin, who was kind of forced to look after her, abandons her.

She spends the next years of her life in and out of foster homes and dreams of reuniting with her twin sister and having a family agai

This book has everything a kid reader could want--a runaway foster child, a long-lost twin, a dog, a tornado, a bully, a road trip, and a happy (but not happily ever after mushy) ending. I'm giving it 4.8/5 for the Children's Choice award.

Recommended for kids who like fast-paced realistic books. Another great work by Peg Kehret!
