For as long as Abigail Cates can remember she has secretly harbored a crush on Cade Prichett. The only problem with that is he used to date her older sister, Laila, and even proposed to her. Cade has never looked at Abby as nothing but the adorable kid sister to the girl he use to date. Everyone in Thunder Canyon is struck with wedding fever and Abigail is feeling left out. She hatches a plan to get her man for the holidays.

I just couldn't connect with the characters and their attitudes. The general story line was fine but the way they talked and the emotions they tried to get across didn't work for me. There were times when I felt like I was reading the same thing just worded differently.

I really wanted to like this book more. Leanne Banks is a name that when I see it in the book store or online I automatically check it out. This isn't going to stop just because I didn't enjoy this book more. I just hope I'll hav

Good book. Abby knew she loved Cade, but he couldn't see her as anything other than Laila's little sister. So Abby made up her mind to get his attention, and get it she did. Meanwhile, Cade couldn't believe that he hadn't seen Abby for the woman she was. But he also felt he was no good for her, as he refused to get emotionally involved. Great chemistry between the two, and a testament on going after your dreams.

A Maverick for Christmas is a winner, not usually one to read holiday tales because of the whole cliche, I was a bit skeptical but Leanne Banks was fabulous. A Maverick for Christmas won me over. I adored Abigail for her sweetness and I loved Cade for his attitude, I couldn't wait to get through the book to find out the end and neither will you!

Really enjoyed this book. I could relate to the old flame crush story. It was sweet, funny, & sad all in one but a true love story for Christmas. One you will have fun reading the to characters are funny together since he use to babysitter her but that is not how she remembers it...

A good little read for Christmas, but hero fighting his feelings for heroine kind of got old after a while. Otherwise it was a pleasant enough holiday read.
