So. Either this book is way shorter than the first two, or i read super fast. I really enjoyed this book (as well as the first two) but this one just felt more rushed. And - im not sure if this is the same with the actual book - but there were a lot of random question marks at the end of sentences...
So that annoyed me.
But, something else that annoyed me was the fact that there seems to be nothing with Laylen and Gemma. What is up with that?? I thought after the whole biting thing there would be More...

Jessica Sorensen’s Fallen Star Series is one of the most creative series I have read in a while. Nothing against any other author I have written about on this page, but Sorensen takes her readers into a whole new sub-cultural world. Yes there are vampires & witches in her world (and I know that’s a common element in many novels now), but the idea of the fallen star, the keepers, the foreseers and even the curious alien-like bad guys bring us into a whole new world of fantasy.

It's my friend Amy's birthday next week. I think she'll be 27. However, when we were chatting the other night, I joked that she'd finally be old enough to drink legally (21), and that I hoped she remembered more of her 30th birthday than I did. She shot back, "No WAY you're aging me nine years in one conversation."
In many ways, I feel like that's me with Jessica Sorensen's "The Fallen Star" series. The first two novels in the series were addictive and beautifully told, and the third keeps up the More...

The Vision was the best book in the series so far. I mean right now, after finishing the book, my emotions are all over the place. Gemma/Alex in this book was perfect. We see their true feelings for each other and how their relationship changes in this book. And most of the time I was fangirling hard over these two. Would it be too weird if I told you I actually felt the electricity between them? And also, Gemma becomes more confident in this book. And I loved it. I mean, she actually grows up i More...

I don't normally review series as a whole, or the whole series, but this one I just had to. This author is a genius, literally a genius. One word to sum up my thoughts for this series is: OBSESSED. I read all four of these books in four days, they were that good.
At first I thought the series was going to be a bit cheesy, with the end of the world bit and all, but instead I ending up loving it. There were so many new concepts put into play lik More...

After reading the first two books in the series for review, I decided to purchase these for my Kindle and finish out the Fallen Star Series. In the first two books I really enjoyed the creativity that the author had, and how she created a character that really wasn’t like any other story out there. The Vision seemed to lack this creativity and I found it hard to get through parts of the book because it was very repetitive and a little boring. At other times I was v More...

In the third book of the Fallen Star series, Gemma has escaped from being captured by Stephan and has been sucked into a vision with her father, who gives her very vague instructions on how to solve the problem of the world ending. She ends up sending herself back to the beach where she was taken by Nicholas and as the book progresses, a whole mish-mash of crazy things happen, including Gemma getting her Keeper's mark. Because of this, she turns into someone who is able to easily fight and kill More...

I have got to say Mrs. Sorensen you are definitely the QUEEN of Cliffhangers. No other series that I have read has ended in such a edge-of-your-seat cliffhanger like your books. Deep down I'm totally impressed though it'll take a while for that to come out since at the moment I find myself very annoyed, considering that this was supposed to be the last book of the series where the moment I've (ok ok we readers, at least I hope) have been waiting for. Which would be Ge

Gemma is given a second chance. She was held captive by Stephan and left to suffer alone. She finds her dad in the Room of Forbidden. He helps her change the past and future to save the world. She’s been given this Mapping Ball, which is the key to save the future. Alex and Gemma’s feelings grow more intense but they need to stay away from each other or else the star will fade and they will kill each other. Nicholas and Gemma make a blood promise to tell the truth, since he has been branded with More...

Another awesome read from The Fallen Star Series!
This one was just as fast-paced, heart-wrenching, and fascinating at the two that came before it, and let me just say that I absolutely LOVE the premise to this series.
We've finally uncovered some of the darkest secrets in Gemma's world, and her relationship with Alex continues to be stretched and strengthened. As usual, Gemma has her immature moments, but I feel like in this novel she started to come to terms with her relationship with Alex and t More...

In The Vision, Gemma is finally coming to terms with a lot of the things that define who she is and what she must do in order to save the world.
Gemma's relationship with Alex is growing closer but further apart at the same time. Complicating matters is the fact that Stephan is controlling people close to Gemma who would help her but you can never be sure if they are really helping or not.
Gemma also discovers her father and yet another thing that makes her unique - the power to change visions. More...

4.5 stars!! I have to say this story has gotten better and better with each book. I hope this isn't going to be a series that goes on for 7 or 8 books, but so far I've truly enjoyed the three books I've read and I'm very much looking forward to when the 4th comes out.
I thought growth wise for many of the characters this book was the best. It finally felt like we were making progress with Gemma and Alex, Laylen too seemed to grow in this book and I truly love him! I'm still curious as to what th More...

Ahhh, this book was infinitely better than book 2 and back on par with book 1. I'm going to say it , makes me breathe a sigh of relief to know that going into book 4 this series didn't go downhill. There are still a ton pf unanswered questions, and for every answer we get two more questions, but I can feel it moving along. Book 2 was so stagnant at times, but this one moved along nicely. I was said that Alex felt he had to leave but I understand it. Its also jard to remember that Gemma is only 1 More...

Jessica Sorensen has really made Gemma a dynamic character as, looking back, I can see how she has morphed and changed into the strong willed young woman that every heroine should be.
Even though I was familiar with the storyline, I wasn't actually prepared for the emotions that hit me during this book. The Vision was probably the most emotional book out of the series (so far) because we see Gemma's and Alex's relationship on a whole new level. This is a wonderful 3rd instalment in this series that takes off at the cusp of the cliffhanger from book 2, and drops the reader right into a new direction of adventure. A lot of change happens in this book in a short period of time, but that helps keep the pages turning at a fast pace and helps set the foundation of how things came to be as they are.
Gemma and Alex continue to build the walls between them as they fear being together...both wanting it more than anything else, but knowing it's t More...

So unfortunately i think this was my least favorite in the series plot wise. I think the plot was okay. It wasn't super interesting, but it wasn't super boring. Now the characters. I didn't think the characters could get better, but they did. Gemma was more confident and was completely standing up for self. Alex was more open with Gemma and wasn't hiding things like in the first book. Now Laylen was definitely better. I loved him in the first book and the beginning of the second, but started to More...

I don't have a lot to say about this book because it's a filler book until the end of the series. This is about the time when I get frustrated that not enough people realize that a good book doesn't have to be split up into multiple sequential novels just because that's what you had planned. It's sort of the same feeling I have about movies that are from one book being split up into multiple sequential films. Just share the important information and forget about all the superfluous detail and gi More...

The 3rd book in the Fallen Star series felt like the shortest one yet - but that could entirely be down to the fact that it was non-stop awesome! Gemma comes into her own completely and rather than shying away and letting the group fight for her, she's completely badass and takes everything that is thrown at her.
In The Vision, more secrets are revealed, Gemma gets to grips with her new powers, and learns a few more a long More...

This book was an extremely fast read. It was a definite improvement over the second book as far as action and moving the story along goes.
I love how the relationships are developing, but I have to be honest, with so much going on I find it a little hard to keep up with everything - now Gemma and Alex could kill each other if they get too close and show too much emotion? At one point I remember the electric feeling sort of "re-charging" them, now it's taking energy away?
I'm really loving the ser More...

Growing up in a world and a life that was a lie, never being told anything, never knowing love, or any form of affection, or feeling any of the emotions that make us human, that's the life that Gemma knew.
But that's all changed, Gemma is still struggling with who she can or should trust and she's finally started to unravel the puzzle of how she saves the world, only now, she wants to know if she will survive once she does?
Still on the run from the forces against her, Gemma struggles to find th More...

I honestly have no idea what to say about this. I'm sooooo mind fucked right now.
I'm going to state the obvious. I'm hurt and crying like a fucking baby because Alex is gone. :( He just left without saying a word.
I'm just really hoping that Aislin and Laylen get back together because I am seriously getting a love triangle vibe here, and let me tell you I'm not liking it one fucking bit.
And is it just me or did everybody forget about Aleesa? Hello, you have a 16 year old that's like a fucking More...

I was hooked on this series from the very first paragraph of the first book. It took me a few chapters to finally delve into the meat and potatoes of the story but from the very first paragraph I knew I had to find out everything about this girl with the violet eyes. Her story intrigued me and called out to me with each word.
Well… pleasantly… the story went wayyy beyond the violet-eyed beauty. We learned of other AMAZING characters as well.

I could read this book again and again and still not get bored of it. I can't help but wonder how Jessica comes up with the interesting plot full of unexpected twists.
It all falls down to one vision. What was once the defeat of Stephan and his death walkers, is now the death of the world. Trapped in his mind as punishment, Gemma's dad turns to her for help correcting his mistake.
With all her friends fighting on who should help her, Gemma tries to fix this herself but, as always, its Nicholas th More...

Damn, damn, damn! I'm never going to get anything done until I finish this series!
I loved book 2, it was fast moving, great character development, introduction of new problems / characters / themes, and most importantly lacked a stupid love triangle thrown in for good measure. But this one? Blew. It. Out. Of. The. Water. And, yes, the punctuation was necessary, so please forgive me.
Soreneson just keeps getting better with her intricately woven world of all things mystical and supernatural. The More...

So, deep breath. Yesterday I finished the Fallen Star Series by Jessica Sorensen. *Insert stars and glitter and magic!*
Not taking into account any editing, literary, or any other “normal” review tactics (I’ll talk about that later) the books were freaking awesome! It follows Gemma, 18 years old, and Alex, who I believe is 20-22 years old (don’t quote me), through an epic battle against Alex’s father, Stephan, and this guy who is like the king of evil an More...

Same Pros/Cons as books 1&2. This series is action packed but it means characters come and go with very little story development.
Also, just a Gemma final realizes that the reason Alex has been a ridiculous jerk is that he was raisers to hid his true feelings, but really he loves her...their magical electricity is really draining them rather than restoring them the way it did in books 1&2.

3.5 STARS. The series had to have been one whole book and the publisher decided to chop it up. This book was a transitional period. Gemma learns more about herself and works with her powers. Stephan has been spreading his evil mark to those he needs to follow him. The more marks that Gemma encounters, the more she realizes that the end of the world is building to a crescendo and her and Alex's Fate may not be avoided at any cost. While Gemma finds help in places that she would never trust, she m More...

Really enjoyable! best one of the series yet. Gemma and Alex's chemistry is still going strong except Gemma isn't a push over anymore making her character so much better and relatable. This book was action packed and some unexpected twist occurred making it hard to put down. Those 'what the hell were you thinking?' moments were kept to a minimum in this book. Like when you know your a target but actually think splitting up is a good idea, well those happened every so often compared to earlier bo More...
