Wish Upon A Star is a duet of two previously published medical romance novels with Christmas settings: The Christmas Marriage Rescue and The Midwife’s Christmas Miracle. In the first one, Christy Garcia takes her two children and leaves her hunky doctor husband Alessandro to his work in the A and E department and with the mountain rescue team. But what she hopes will force Alessandro to see the cracks in their marriage instead widen the emotional and physical distance between them. Her children More...

Two stories of finding love and enjoying the holidays. Christy and Alessandro are apart from each other during what should be a very happy time of year. Only their scheming children may be able to pull them back together again. Miranda on the other hand has given up on love, six months pregnant and not at all looking for love stumbles into Jake. Of course, Jake’s plans are completely different from Miranda’s and how it ends is entirely up to her. Christmas and happily ever afters come together i More...

The Deal: Wish Upon a Star is a compilation of two stories that have a lot to do with the Christmas season.

In the first one, Christy is still reeling from the temporary separation from her husband Alessandro, which is starting to look like a permanent thing even though she never intended for things to turn out that way, she was just trying to give Alessandro a wake up call as to the state of their marriage - namely that he worked too much, took her for granted and that they only 'qual More...

This book comprises of two short stories; Christy and Miranda. Christy ran away with her children to the city just to gain the attention of her ever busy husband; Alessandro with the hope that he will come and take them home. But it backfired. And christmas is near and both their childrens' wishes was to celebrate the season holiday with their father at their family home with their mother. So, Christy have no choice but to agreed. Wish Upon A Star, a Christmas themed release from Sarah Morgan, is actually divided into two novellas: one following Christy and the other Miranda. They're, rather aptly, called 'Christy' and, yep, you guessed it, 'Miranda'. And they're fun.

Christy:

Christy has made a Big Mistake. Namely, leaving the husband she's still wildly in love with, and taking their two children with her London. Which she hates. He was supposed to follow her and beg her to come back. Turns out it More...

3.5 stars.

The two novellas were both fast fun reads.

The first was a romance within an on-the-rocks relationship, and (taken as fluff) it was very entertaining. A highly volatile couple, a precocious kid, and a heavy dose of wish fulfillmen to top it off.

I admit, I was more interested in the characters in the second story. Jake was introduced in the first story, and this good looking guy (who is very in tune with women and what they want) is my kind of roman More...

Wish Upon a Star is a lovely book that I deeply enjoyed. It has two very cute stories and I read it in only one day.

The first story is about Christy. She made a mistake, leaving her husband a few months ago to make him notice her, but he was supposed to follow her and make her come back. He didn't and now it's Christmas, and the kids want to spend the holidays with the two of them, together. It's the moment to see if Alessandro, her sexy Spanish hus More...

This book really took me by surprise. I was desperate for a lovely festive read and fell straight away for the cover of this book when I saw it on Net Galley, so I quickly requested it. Little did I know that it was a Mills and Boon book! To be honest I was shocked. I grew up reading my nan's Mills and Boons books and although I enjoyed them they were quite a secretive read. This was mainly due to the covers, so I was quite surprised to see such a lovely cover on this book.

I was even More...

I received this ARC copy free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
This is my first book from the Mills & Boon Medical Romance Line. Two short stories, but I preferred Miranda and Jake's story.

I believe this book is mainly for an UK audience, some of the words were unknown to this U.S. reader....
If you enjoy medical romance, I think you will enjoy ‘Wish Upon a Star’, with the few exceptions noted above. Though it does have a few rough patches for me, it was not ba More...

The book shares two stories named after the principal female characters and are set in Lake District. The first one is Christy and she's struggling with career, husband and kids. The second is Miranda who just moved to the neighborhood and now is having problems deciding which feelings to follow towards Jake.

Funny thing about the stories is that Jake is godfather of Christy kids, so he's a support character on the first story and finally gets he's happy ending on the second story, fi More...

This is what I thought...

There were two stories...sort of related...about love lost and found during the Christmas season.

One family is lost and has to find its way back together. The other family is trying to actually be a family.

Not sure I loved it. The characters were ok...not that memorable. The problem was that I did not feel these characters.

I did not like them very much nor did I like their choices...especially the characters in the first More...

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this one. I was super excited to read my first bit of UK chick lit. And I totally and completely fell in love with the cover. I kept seeing these super cute covers on blogs everywhere and silly as it sounds I was so excited to finally read a book with such a cover. And then the book in no way lived up to that cover:(

First of all...I had the unpleasant surprise that this was actually two novellas (Christy & Miranda) which were combined into More...

It's been a while since I've read a chick lit novel and I thought that was what I was going to get in this book but I don't think it was, it was a contemporary romance set in the UK. This book has two stories in it and both stories were easy to follow. The first book follows married couple Alessandro and Christy as they try to find their way back to each other again after years of marriage. They've been married for twelve years and they have two kids. Christy takes care of the kids and Alessandr More...

Both stories were a bit predictable. Okay, a LOT predictable. I liked Miranda's story a bit better, but still, exactly the kind of story that my Grandmother would read. If you are looking for light and easy, give this one a shot, but don't say I didn't warn you about the predictability.

This consists of 2 previously published books from her medical line that take place around Christmas. The first story involves a married couple who are initially seperated and how they find their way back to one another - nice enough.

The second story was more enjoyable - a couple falling in love in relatively difficult conditions - she is pregnant and very untrustworthy of everyone. He was a very nice hero.

The setting: The Lake District at Christmas - snow, mountains, t More...
