This book contains 2 stories a little darker than the usual SM's books but heartwarming nonetheless.
The christmas Marriage Rescue
Very realistic story about a marriage in peril due to miscommunication and a workaholic husband. Christy had to leave a job she loved as a nurse in A and E department and with the mountain rescue team to raise the children. while Alessandro continued ahead in his career as consultant, Christy felt left behind. I liked how Christy kept proving herself as she got her job

Wish Upon A Star is a book with two separate stories, Christy's and Mirandas. They have a location and one character mainly in common but they are very different stories, but both really enjoyable.

Christy's story features Christmas as the heart of it, as all her kids want is for them to go home, and back to Alessandro, in the Lake District, for Christmas. She reluctantly agrees, but for the children's sake more than anything. Once back she is called into action alongside Alessandro, as

Wish Upon A Star by Sarah Morgan
One section is about Christy:
The kids talk their mom into going home to the dads's place in the country for Christmas.
Alessandro is a doctor with emergency services. They agreed to get together for the sake of the kids.
Once they arrive in the country he has to go back to work at the hospital and again she feels
she never gets to talk to him. She is then asked to work at the hospital because the nurses that
were to be on duty are all sick. She agrees and the kids are

It's Christmas time and the snow is falling , it should be one of the most romantic times of the year but for four people it isn't though with the Christmas joyous season, their lucks are about to change.
Wish upon a star contains two stories both set in the Lakes District ( home of Beatrix Potter) . The first is Christy and Alessandro's tale , a few months ago Christy was fed up and decided to up and leave and take the children with her to London to stay with her brother Pete. Expecting , Aless

Wish Upon a Star is a lovely book that I deeply enjoyed. It has two very cute stories and I read it in only one day.

The first story is about Christy. She made a mistake, leaving her husband a few months ago to make him notice her, but he was supposed to follow her and make her come back. He didn't and now it's Christmas, and the kids want to spend the holidays with the two of them, together. It's the moment to see if Alessandro, her sexy Spanish husband, still want to be wi

Wish Upon A Star is a duet of two previously published medical romance novels with Christmas settings: The Christmas Marriage Rescue and The Midwife’s Christmas Miracle. In the first one, Christy Garcia takes her two children and leaves her hunky doctor husband Alessandro to his work in the A and E department and with the mountain rescue team. But what she hopes will force Alessandro to see the cracks in their marriage instead widen the emotional and physical distance between them. Her children ...more

Two previously published medical romances 1) THE CHRISTMAS MARRIAGE RESCUE and 2) THE MIDWIFE'S CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

I definitely preferred the second story over the first.

The first one (The Christmas Marriage Rescue) is a marriage in peril between an A&E specialist and his wife who gave up her nursing career to raise their children. It's about reconnecting and rediscovering what brought them together in the first place. Typically, this is one of my favorite themes, but I had trouble connecti

THE CHRISTMAS MARRIAGE RESCUE

An enjoyable read. I love the rescue team at the Lake District.
Alessandro, the Spanish hero in this book, is hot and delicious! Christy is fabulous - strong, intelligent and capable. However, both hero and heroine needed a good slap! They didn't communicate clearly even though they were both crazy about each other. The kids in this story were fabulous and conversations with and between them hilarious!

Oh my goodness I found this so frustrating. This book is two separate stories set in the Lake District at Christmas time. The first is about Christy and Alessandro whose marriage is in trouble. The couple have an amazing sex life, a comfortable lifestyle but Christy appears to have left her husband because he works too hard at his job at the hospital! She comes home for Christmas with the children and what follows is a series of misunderstandings because no one actually talks to each other!!! I ...more

This was a real cheese-fest. Not really surprising in a mills and boon book. However it was lovely and Christmasy and a real feel-good book. It was exactly what I expected it to be and I enjoyed it all the more for it.

I expect I'll read a few more Christmas romance books along the same lines this December and I hope I enjoy them all as much as this one.

Beautiful Easy Read

Lovely story, easy to read, quite gripping in its own gentle way. A traditional romantic novel, and very enjoyable. Mills and Boon have done it again. A story to entertain on cold autumn evenings.

This book really took me by surprise. I was desperate for a lovely festive read and fell straight away for the cover of this book when I saw it on Net Galley, so I quickly requested it. Little did I know that it was a Mills and Boon book! To be honest I was shocked. I grew up reading my nan's Mills and Boons books and although I enjoyed them they were quite a secretive read. This was mainly due to the covers, so I was quite surprised to see such a lovely cover on this book.

The Deal: Wish Upon a Star is a compilation of two stories that have a lot to do with the Christmas season.

In the first one, Christy is still reeling from the temporary separation from her husband Alessandro, which is starting to look like a permanent thing even though she never intended for things to turn out that way, she was just trying to give Alessandro a wake up call as to the state of their marriage - namely that he worked too much, took her for granted and that they only 'quality' time t

Wish Upon A Star, a Christmas themed release from Sarah Morgan, is actually divided into two novellas: one following Christy and the other Miranda. They're, rather aptly, called 'Christy' and, yep, you guessed it, 'Miranda'. And they're fun.

Christy has made a Big Mistake. Namely, leaving the husband she's still wildly in love with, and taking their two children with her London. Which she hates. He was supposed to follow her and beg her to come back. Turns out it didn't work quite how she

Two stories of finding love and enjoying the holidays. Christy and Alessandro are apart from each other during what should be a very happy time of year. Only their scheming children may be able to pull them back together again. Miranda on the other hand has given up on love, six months pregnant and not at all looking for love stumbles into Jake. Of course, Jake’s plans are completely different from Miranda’s and how it ends is entirely up to her. Christmas and happily ever afters come together ...more

The book shares two stories named after the principal female characters and are set in Lake District. The first one is Christy and she's struggling with career, husband and kids. The second is Miranda who just moved to the neighborhood and now is having problems deciding which feelings to follow towards Jake.

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this one. I was super excited to read my first bit of UK chick lit. And I totally and completely fell in love with the cover. When I picked this book up I didn't realise that it was a Mills & Boon book.

The book is actually two stories in the one book. The writing is very typical of the genre. I read a lot of Mills & Boon books in my early teens. I don't mind them as an inbetween read as they are non taxing and very easy to read.

The first story centres around Christy and her husband Alessandro. Christy left Alessandro temporarily as she wanted things to change within her marriage, family and work life. Alessandr

Wish Upon a Star is a delightful book that contains two romantic Christmas stories. A bit longer than what I would consider a short story, both were well developed and fun to read.

The first story of the book is about Christy and Allesandro. Separated by choice after twelve years of marriage and away from each other during the holiday season, Christy is contemplating and regretting her decision to leave. Meanwhile, their children work together behind the scenes to reunite

This book is divided into two stories. Jake, one of the characters from the first becoming the major character in the second.

The first story finds Christy and her husband Alessandro having problems with their marriage, with attempts by their children and best friend Jake to help them reconcile. Although I enjoyed this story the most, I found the use of certain phrases repetitively really irritating, drawled speech, hands rubbing necks, swearing softly to name a few. Two festive romances in one.
In the first story, Christy and Allesandro are having marriage problems, he works too much and never listens to how she feels so she goes to London to cool off hoping he will follow and beg to go back but he doesn't and she stays there two months with her children Katy and Ben until they plead to go home for Christmas.
Will the festive season lend an air of romance to the situation and can they possibly patch things up in time for Christmas?
