The book was amazing. You can always tell when an author does the research necessary to take their book to the next level.

I loved how Mr. Reilly added details from different points in history to create such a stunning array of characters and environments. If my laptop hadn't kept overheating, I would've read it straight through.

I loved the action sequences the most. Mr. Reilly has a great mind for strategy. I think that's what it more real to me than anything. The forces opposing Billy always f

I won this book as part of Goodreads First Reads.

The book starts with the world in the middle of a war. Genghis Khan has discovered magic and has used it to take over half of the world. Resistance in western Europe & the Americas is pretty much the only thing keeping him from becoming ruler of Earth. I can't even finish this. Found this looking for a similar book to Harry Potter. Yeah, this is NOT it. Way too many "storylines" being thrown in together. The premise is good but I just can't handle the writing style.

Didn't finish this one. Made it almost halfway through and just can't pick it up again. Maybe someday, I will attempt this one again. But if not, I only lost .99 on it.

Definitely an interesting read at first. However once you get into Billy's story the book loses some of the magic it first started out with. After reading about 40% of the book I kind of felt like the story was dragged on more than necessary and the ending was very abrupt.

Very good book that kept you guessing even to the end. The ending made me wonder what is next...

Read this as it was mentioned somewhere that it was as good as Harry potter, it wasn't! Didn't enjoy it at all, not my cup of tea, pft! Waste of time.
