In "One Small Fib," Romes gives us a totally human heroine every woman can relate to. Allie Blue seems to know what she wants-- except perhaps when it comes to love. And who should walk into her life except a man least likely to be the one to make her happy? Wall Street mogul Kip Thomas has it going on, outwardly. But Allie triggers something inside of him he'd rather keep hidden away. Although neither Allie nor Kip want to admit it, they have a lot more in common than they realize. Their path t ...more

Witty, sassy, energetic, crackling with chemistry. A great romantic read. Pure escapism, and I rather liked the characterisation – prickly-but-needy millionaire meets feisty-but-needy air stewardess. The author is unafraid to explore cold realities of life, such as having a woman of the night for your mother, and saying the complete wrong thing and inadvertently ruining the mood while in a sensual moment.

My favourite element of the book was the author’s ability to mix poignancy and a wry, warm,

Shelves: chick-lit, romance
Review by JoAnne: This was a cute romance/chick lit story that kept me interested from the beginning. It had lots of laughter, romance, action, some tension and a happy ending that was better than I expected. I would have liked the story to continue a little longer just so I could see how Allie and Kip would interact in their new relationship and what new adventures they got into. Allie was quite a character in that she always seemed to speak her mind even when she knew better but I loved how re ...more

Jan Romes likes to write about fun, romantic and easy going characters and One Small Fib definitely falls under this category. If you’re looking for an escape from reality, into a world where grumpy, rich men change their ways for unique women, this book is for you.

One Small Fib is about Allie, a flight attendant who meets up with millionaire Kiptyn Thomas, on one of her first days on the job. At first, he’s a mean-hearted, self-centered jerk. But when he’s acquainted with Allie, a woman who spe

Now this is how a story should be!

This is my second book I've read in the Millionaire’s Club series. I absolutely love this new refreshing series and I can’t wait for more. This story read very fast and seemed shorter than its length, but it was gratifying either way.

Allie Blue had a dream to open a bed and breakfast but it just got crushed. Instead she finds herself working as a flight attendant. On her fourth day on the job, she's to

When one fib changes your life, can you really stop there?

Allie never thought she'd meet such a man like Kiptyn. At first, he's rude and unlikable. After awhile, however, he kind of grew on me. Allie's first impression of him wasn't the best, but yet he wanted her to be the one that attended to him while on a flight.

One Small Fib is a wonderful little romance that is bound to deliver a smile to the reader's face. It's full of heart, a bit of deception, and an ending you'll be happy with. I enjoy

I just have one question, when is the second book in the Millionaire's Club coming out??????? When I say I loved this book, I LOVED this book! I really want another book about the Thomas family, this one barely scratched the surface. Anyway, straight out of the gate Kiptyn Thomas was a real PITA (Jan's words not mine) and I couldn't agree more! I kinda just wanted to punch him in the face, but then, slowly, I started to fall in love with him, just like Allie Blue. It was a slow transition for us ...more

How can you not love a character named Allie Blue? This book is so funny, cute, and overall a great read. It is truly a "romance" with all that comes with it. You are rooting for Allie the entire way to deal with her struggles and her dreams. And Kip's development is lovely to read. There's a surprise revelation of sorts at the end that some readers will especially love. This book had it all, smart, funny, sexy and excitement. I would definitely read more from Jan.

Recommends it for: Anyone who loves contemporary romances.
I truly enjoyed reading "One Small Fib." It's a fun romantic comedy that's sure to make you laugh. There are also a lot of heated moments between Allie Blue and billionaire-playboy, Kiptyn Thomas. I'm not going to spill the beans and tell you what happens, just be prepared for a really fun read. Now I'm anxious to read Jan Romes' other contemporary romance, "Lucky Ducks." A note to Jan: I hope you're busy writing your next romantic comedy

Allie's dreams do come true, but they take the long way around to get to her. This story is well written and very engaging. Somewhat heart wrenching, and also exciting. It's a great read.
